December 1st - Rabbits Roll Call

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

I remembered "rabbits" too, shortly after midnight. Didn't get to sleep tho until almost 3am.

Cloudy this morning and cool. May get a little rain today and then clear up until the middle of next week when they are predicting heavy rains again here. The rainy season is finally upon us! I sure don't miss the cold and snow tho!

My roommate is out of town for a week so I want to get the house cleaned up and remove some clutter and get more organized around here before she gets back. I have been lazy.

I am out of here shortly to get a loose perm from a neighbor. My hair has some curl but when it dries, it isn't a nice organized curl, so I figured a perm would make it look better while I grow it out longer.

I just got up and already feel a nap coming on. That will have to wait til I get home tho.

Judy, I hope you are feeling better today!

Have a good day, a good month of December, and a great holiday season! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Since no one here to talk to (son still asleep, cats too) I said rabbits several times when I saw Sues post, so hopefully I'm good to go. We have had rain for several days off and on. It's nice to see rain totals go up. I'm moving along, slowly getting rid of stuff and finishing paperwork as it comes along. Still waiting to hear on two of 4 Survivor plans we paid for! so feel like I can not really start any big projects requiring moolah until I know bottom line. I have 7 more large sacks of clothes and shoes to go to donate when I can get down there, and I haven't even started Mel's closet! One day at a time. Hope by new year I can plan to take my Leisure Travel Van to the various places to catch up on maintenance. Then can start planning to attend some get togethers. My son, Chris has had a virus for a few days, sure hope I don't get it!
We are hoping to get our tree up this week if weather allows a trip to a tree farm, which is a new tradition revived from his childhood we want do. Trying to figure out our new normal for Christmas.
Have a good day all.

Hello Everybody, I’m checking in from Deming , NM. Two days ago Apple upgraded the operating system in my I-phone and since then I haven’t been able to access my email. The problem finally got resolved today when I talked to a real live support person. As old fashioned as it may seem, I do not want a lock on my phone; neither a thumb print or passcode. As I explained to the support person if I need help I want anybody to be able to use my phone and call my ICE people or a local doctor. Enjoy the rest of the day. Peggy

Good Morning! Only a little after 12 here. As Benji sleeps right up next to my face, I just open my eyes and say RABBITS to him. Sun is out and warm after a very cool walk this morning.

Today my daughters boy friend is giving her a big bitrthday party. Yesterday was her 65th birthday! Gads, she is getting old.
I think “boy friend” is a silly expression for 60 year olds. What other term can I use?

Ankle continues to NOT hurt! That is my biggest news of the day!

Thanks for everyone's concern. I am doing OK and even remembered to say rabbits just before I fell asleep right after midnight. Got 11 hours of sleep, although woke up a couple of times to take more pain meds. That makes up for two hours sleep I got Wednesday night and Thursday night. Still feel groggy, and taking it very easy. High of 45 today and pouring down rain, but supposed to be a little dryer in the next week. Going to drop below 26, so glad I have heat duct in utility area around tanks. Filling tanks instead of using water hose, also, so should be OK.

Feel like someone punched me in my left side, but no bladder or stent pain, which is fantastic. Got lots of pain meds and another prescription to fill next week. And trying to keep warm with two electric heaters and front furnace going. And still peeing "beet juice": Wish that would stop.

Got an email last night when I got home from a lady on another forum who has my same "other" doctor. I had posted there about the problem needing someone to pick me up at hospital, and she said had she been checking that forum she would have contacted me earlier and volunteered. Wants to meet for coffee later this coming week. Full time faculty at U of Oregon which is in Eugene. She was a little hesitant and asked if I minded meeting a stranger. Ha! Little does she know how many "strangers" we all meet and invite into our RVs. Told her about our kids and their fears of ax murderers. Anyway, goes to show you that there are a lot of nice people around. Looking forward to meeting her, but told her it had to be late this coming week.

Lyn, you could call him her "significant other". :D Is this the same guy she has been seeing from the meetup group for a couple years?

Judy, glad you are feeling a little better and got a good nights sleep. Hope you can stay warm and cozy inside.

My perm turned out good so I am happy. Not too curly, just wavy, but it will stay that way after it dries now, unlike my natural wave.

Peggy, did you know you are in another country right now? :o There is a story from Washington DC where a guy from New Mexico tried to get a marriage license in DC and was turned down because he had a foreign ID card (from New Mexico). The guy tried to tell him that NM is a state in this country but the clerk wouldn't believe him so he got a supervisor over and even the supervisor didn't think NM was a state and thought he was from Mexico! How do these people get their jobs??

Beth, I hope you are having fun in Tombstone!

It is sunny now and warming up a bit. Slight cool breeze. Feels good to me!

Talk about people who have a lack of geographical knowledge. I remember a guy on a Chicago radio show many years ago talking about ways to get to northern part of Michigan from Chicago. Radio host kept suggesting that the caller just head north along the west side of Lake Michigan and cut across the northern border of the lake directly to Traverse city. Finally, someone in the studio got him out a map and showed him how you just could not cut across Lake Michigan without getting really, really wet.

And I have heard that people from New Mexico have this problem all the time with people thinking they live in a foreign country!! Ditto for people from Puerto Rico being told they are illegal aliens! I have heard even Hawaiians being accused of not being U.S. citizens and needing passports to get into the U.S.

I remember being taught geography in elementary school, but I don't think they do that anymore. Remember having to memorize all the state capitols?? I think a lot of schools skip that now.
