December 1st - Rabbits Roll Call

Postby Colliemom » Sat Dec 01, 2018 8:06 am

Roll call everyone. This is the last month of the year, let's make It a good roll call day. Been a number of people AWOL these past few months :)

Cloudy, in low 30’s here this morning. Storm moving in late with some rain, then over to wet snow tomorrow. See those of you to the west are getting clobbered again, plus much needed snow in the Sierra.

Off to Farmers Market this morning to see if any body has eggs today, quick stop at WM for dog biscuits, then home to putter around. Will be the daily dog walk. We’ve Been out enjoying walks on the new bike/hiking trail here. It becomes a snowmobile trail as of today till March 31st, but with no snow persay, they won’t be riding it til we get enough.

Well, now that I’ve. Ored you for the morning, going to get off here and let the roll call begin. Have a nice day everyone.

Mornin' Sue & all that follow~~~

I thinks this is a first. I actually remembered to say Rabbits! this morning. lol

Heading into Arizona today, one day earlier than planned. Strong winds yesterday, not as bad expected today, and then they kick up again tomorrow. Temp's won't be any warmer, but since the winds are expected to continue thru Monday, it's time to hit the road.

Punk's stil snuggled in the covers. I'll wake him up in an hour hour or so. Have a great day & month ladies.

Good Morning Sue,
Maryland checking in. Forecast for rain AGAIN. Leafs over deck and front porch but not dry enough to use the blower. My only hope is the wind will eventually blow them into my neighbors yard. Bought my self a new uptown coffee maker on Black Friday weekend. I kept checking on Amazon until the price dropped $15. Think the old Mr Coffee was about 20 years old and still working but coffee wasn’t great. Sorta like me. :D Safe travels

Morning all! I remembered rabbits while I wasn’t sleeping at about 2am.

Very wet and yucky here, but a high of 60 predicted, it was an overnight low of 16 a few nights ago, weird!

Hope everyone has a great day.

/good Morning, I also remembered Rabbis in the middle of the night which I think is one of the few times I have thought about it. It is supposed to be almost 70 degrees here today after temps in the low thirties and teens most of the week. I hope the rain holds off because lots of activities planned. I don't go but it is the Lights Fantastic parade in the downtown area tonight which draws a large crowd.
Shirl, hope you like your new coffee pot. I tried several different types of coffee makes a few years ago and went back to the 4 cup Mr Coffee.
I am tired today shopped with a friend most of the day yesterday and thank it was too much excitement  I was awake way past my usual bedtime last night.
enjoy the day and the month ahead!

Good morning. I finally remembered to say Rabbits before I settled last night. Think it was about 12:30 when I turned the light off! We’re supposed to have a warmer week end and then back to low temps next week. Not sure how much sun we’ll see though. I have a feeling it’s going to be a long winter! Son called and said my snowblower is put together and he just needs to get it to me. This is when I miss not having a pick up. Don’t like having to depend on someone else.
Dentist appointment went about how I figured the other day. I told him to just pull it. He tried to talk me out of it but then said I probably would have lost it down the line anyway. He gave me his cell phone number in case I need him after hours in the future too. So all’s well there now! Starting to get some of my energy back too!
Looks like a big storm coming across the mid section of the country. Stay safe if you’re in the path of it. Sue, sounds like you and the pups have a good place to walk now with the new trail. No walk for Rascal today but if I get out he can go for a ride with me. He seems to like that. It’s so muddy out right now I don’t like to walk him! Been trying to spend more time playing with him. It’s amazing how much different it is having just one dog. They used to play together and amuse each other. Now he just has me to amuse him. It’s been a long time since there’s only been one dog in the house.
Ok, time to quit rambling and get ready for the day. Coffee is on if anyone’s interested. Have a great day and stay warm and safe.

Good morning from the west coast.
For the first time ever I said 'rabbits' when I saw this post. Unfortunately I might have asked Sadie if she wanted to go out earlier though.. one of these days I'll get it right.
Chilly outside right now, mid-60s for the high today.
I have to run the End of Month process for work in a bit. Gives me something productive to do on a Saturday morning. Nothing else planned for the day but to clean house.
Judyb, hope you're doing ok this morning.
Cheryl, be safe with those winds.
Shirlv, Yep, 20 years is pretty good for a coffee maker. ;)
Hope everyone has a great month!

Good work Catherine. I bet if you think on it you can find another reason not to clean house! Don't you need to take a wonderful dog on a walk somewhere. Around here they save me often!

Today is a day of wet doges from the rain but they don't seem to worry too much and my home tolerates wet dogs well.

This is my check in! Have a good month all for those we don't hear from too often. Remember we still keep you all in our thoughts and hope to hear from you. That or we are just noisy! Either way let us know how you are working out life out there!

Rabbits check in. In spite of being up well past midnight, I spoke to Nicky before remembering "rabbits". More of us might get the rabbits first if we weren't so accustom to speaking to our fur babies.
My garage cleaning/reorganizing is continuing. It is beginning to look like I might live long enough to finish that project tho I must admit right now it appears questionable. Just reminding myself that sometimes one has to make a bigger mess in the process. All in all I am pleased with results to date except that it is such a slow process.
Expecting to get my van back this afternoon. Niece has been using it all week cleaning out her parents house as they finally sold it. Such a relief. Closing was late yesterday.
My to do list for the weekend is way more than I can accomplish. Need to prioritize to get started.
Lots of rain yesterday and today so I will also have a wet dog.
Enjoy your weekend.

I called out rabbits as the clock turned to midnight. Unfortunately it was after 2 am before I got to sleep. That wouldn't be a problem but I need to get moving. The Tombstone visit that was cancelled both days last weekend is on for today...

I love reading all the posts this morning and look forward to more later. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Happy December and Rabbits day!

Nice to read what everyone is doing.

I arrived in Yuma October 23 for 3 months - will leave in time to join the Q gtg in January. Picked up a new camper - Lance 1172 with 2 slides. So many changes since I bought the last one in 2011! After a very busy year, I am enjoying alone time and being in one place - settling in, genealogy, books, travel plans for European cruise with BFF next year, some TV/movies. I'm even cooking more often using the crock pot!

Everyone be well and enjoy this month of Christmas! No matter what your mode of travel, be safe.

Happy Dec. 1st everyone! And I remembered rabbits!

Shirl, you must have had a really good coffee pot. Judy, I hope you slept okay last night. Beth, we loved Tombstone and hope to go back again at some point. Sue, thanks for starting the day off for all of us. And a good roll call day to all of you.

It's after noontime but it's warm enough in Ocala to keep the door open and we're supposed to get into the high 70's later in the day. I need to practice for tomorrow's church service but will do that here rather than using the big organ in church. I'm trying to talk myself into putting together a key lime pie. We brought key limes back with us while we were in south Miami. Yesterday I put away our fall ornaments and brought out the Christmas tree and wreath plus took a ride around the campground to see how others had decorated their sites & rigs. It's hard to bellieve we're so close to ending another year.

Good Morning. Well of course I forgot Rabbits. I think if I didnt have a dog that greets me as soon as my eyeball is visible I wouldnt have a problem remembering.

Not much on my agenda today. Rainy and cold out. Weather people are going crazy as we have big snow in them thar hills around me. First big snow event of the year so they are on it LOL I am going to bake some cookies today. I dont bake often so had to make sure I had the supplies. I am making Mexican Wedding cake cookies. Easy to make and I enjoy them but havent had any for years. So there ya go I guess I was missing them this week or I saw a post on facebook about them ha ha could go either way.

Motorhome all winterized I just have to take my Drizit containers over there for any moisture that occurs.

Got my new phone all dialed in I think, until something comes up I need to tweak. This morning I had to figure out how to turn off auto-correct. I just cant be having all my words changed to something I dont want. THEN it wont let you make it what you really want so just turned that feature OFF. Thank goodness for Youtube.
