It's Officially Friday ! Morning Everyone It's still dark outside with a possible opening in the sky that looks like the dawn might be attempting to peek through..aaaaaaaaah come on Sun... I don't know about the rest of you.. but I sure could use a little ray of HOPE..like SUN..be nice for a change...Since I've been back home I've hit the Northern Hemisphere of Chill and Dampness...Is it October Yet..so I can head South again !!!.....That's my story for today.. now on with the search of what's happening here..

SeeyaGal...went visiting..but did a few good deeds ! Put Mr Coffee to Rest..and Got a "New" one.. and also got a "Cooker" for the set up of Outdoor Boil... yeah.. Crabs.. Jenny I think you're gonna have more Company...

Bethers is giving her Kudos too Joe's Small Motors & More in Elizabeth, CO ...I hear ya ...been that route many many times and made a collection of repair places that "Did the Job" and were really caring folks.. So all.. if you're in that area.. Make note and if you stop in.. Let them know Beth passed the Word... Now Beth.. it's onward to the next spot..and the generator lives on

GetupnGo (Janice) Is singing a "Happy Tune".. she's got her Motor Home back in her driveway and getting ready to Scrub it up..LOL Hey Janice.. I've got one here that needs lots of cleaning on the Outside.. It's a Job but somebody's gotta do it.. PS I use Dawn Dish Detergent.. does a great job and rinses clean.. No phosphorous !! So no streaking on the windows either...and it's Cheap.. gets rid of all the grease and grime.....aaah we know you are anxious too... Hitch itch strikes again !

Mitch is at it again.. Wanting to know "How we get Organized for our Camping Meals"....and if we thought we done had enough.. it's Organization of Meals hahahahaha... Mitch.. That could have went in "General Topic" cause that is gonna or should be a whole lot of gabbing and maybe a few griping...!! mmmmmmm for me I have a Freezer in where my passenger space was...This way any back seat driving is done exactly there ! behind the wall on the couch and who can hear that ...(oh I did a funny).. For me... I did a lot of boil a bag and micro wave .. use to do a lot of cooking at home and then I was ready to hit the open road.. I'd also make up a loaf of bread in sandwiches, wrap in wax paper and put back in bread bag... I tried to keep it simple... Ok.. Sista's head on over and spill the beans on how you all do your thang

Mtngal (Diana).. I know the feeling of putting the MH in "moth balls" but before ya know it.. You'll be out and about again.. and we'll be right along with ya...isn't it exciting though.. once you get in that rig and drive..it opens a new world and any where you park her is home...now that's a great feeling...

Ok, well it's that time.. and for those I've missed I'll catch up with ya again on Monday.. yeah the weekend is rolling in and in my home it's Family visiting.. I swear I'm the "hotel" for the family.. well the Bed and Breakfast inn for sure but not complaining cause really I'm happy my family does come..it's a lot of excitment..(loud too) and it's good seeing them and learning all the gossip in the clan.. LOL

My table is set.. pull up a chair and feast yourself to some fiddles.. Coffee is perking, Kettle is Whistling and a few cold ones in the frig...Have some Banana Nut Blueberry bread...some Donut Holes (nothing goes to waste) Cinnamon Raisin Bread ooooooooh and I know I just got in some New York Bagels..woooooooo hoooooooo...

good morning ladies, just checkin in while I'm getting ready for work, sipping coffee
and the rest of the routine. Gonna be another hot day, but they say we're gonna get
a break soon so that will be a little welcome relief. Although at this point it just doesn't
make a whole lot of difference cause its gonna be hot until September anyway, what
ever way you look at it.
Off to read a little of the posts and then get myself out the door. Have fun, be safe

Good morning all. As usual, love the check-in with Barbz. If I can't get to the full posts, at least I have an inkling of what's happening. We're pulling up stakes here at Betty's and moving, well, not very far-to the Sam Houston Jones State Park just a few miles up the road to go canoeing, etc. Woke up to a lot of sun and heat-will be glad to send some to those needy. : DH planned a tentative route to Austin over the next few weeks, so will see if it pans out or lands in a jello bowl.

Congratulations to Jill and many more happy times ahead.

Morning Zeee and all. Thought I caught up on posts before coming here - but discovered I must have missed a few - got to go back and find them.

I took quite a few lizard pics in NM - but that collared lizard is my favorite. Was hoping to see one. Never thought he'd pose so nicely for me. They amaze me - and yeppers, blow them up and they could be a movie monster. Ha.

Oh, one day I'll have to find a pic of the rabbit whose pics I took. He was cleaning his paws. Sparkle kept telling me, ok, enough? Course, I kept taking more pics. She said the day before we split paths for the summer - didn't think anyone could take so many pics of a rabbit cleaning it's paws Yeppers, that'd be me. And that's why it takes forever to up my pics to the puter. Then to divide them, and organize the, etc. Still haven't got all of them from NM organized - and need to before I forget what's from where.

At my friends in Brush, CO for a couple days. Hope to get laundry done before I leave. One chore I then won't have to worry about for a couple weeks. And I need to eat up all my fresh fruits and vegies - that, if checked, won't be able to go over to Canada.

Good Morning all...
Boy all I can say is this morning coffee time is playing heck with my diet. Good thing it is cyber food and has 0 calories, 0 fat and 0 sugar.

We actually have blue skies today. They are not suppose to stay, but hey I will take what I can get. We have homeschool co-op classes today and will be heading out in a few for those. Not much time this am.

SO you all have a great Friday.
Don't know if we have any Canadians on here...but if we do...enjoy your 3 day weekend...at least it is for British Columbia.

Good Afternoon all,

Late as usual, but I;m good at cleanup. The weather people have stated we should have one more stormy night and then we should be dry for at least a week. Seeing is believing. All the state and county parks near lakes are flooded and will not be open for Memorial Day weekend. We should get more water from the northern states (I'm in Oklahoma) later this week as the water makes its way south. Time to look elsewhere for camping but it's hard since it has been so wet all around us. I was going to cut the lawn, but I have a pond on the front lawn and the backyard is muddy mush. Maybe next week after a few days of sunshine.

YIPPEE!!! FRIDAY AGAIN, AT LAST!

Good afternoon, all! I just mowed my grass for the first time this year, and the black flies are out! For those who don't know what black flies are, they are viscious, biting, blood-sucking little flies that breed in our fast-moving, crystal-clear mountain brooks and then emerge after the larvae stage to attack us up here every spring! They last about a month, and you can't really go out when they are thick without a headnet on....they swarm in your face, get into your eyes and ears and nose and mouth, and bite like heck! But at least I got my lawn cut back a bit!

Thanks for the updates, Barb, so I can keep up with what's what. Looks as if a good day was had by all in your kitchen!

Blueberry plants are blossoming, and it looks as if it might be another good year for picking, if all the blossoms turn to berries.

To explain for those who asked, my job at school will change due to the fact that both of us library people plan to retire at the same time, leaving the next people to come in with NO knowledge of what goes on in there; including how to order books, how to enter them into the computer system, how to do Interlibrary Loans, how to repair books, how to discard books, how to cover and process books for the shelves, how to maintain all the computers, printers, LCD projectors, document cameras, smart boards, video cameras, boom boxes, TVs and VCRs, DVD players, how to order equipment via the computerized system, how to check out books properly and make sure they come back on time or get paid for if damaged, how to help kids use our online subscriptions, how to help kids find appropriate books for research, how to use the Dewey Decimal System and our OPAC online book catalog, and on and on and on. SO, as I am just the library teaching assistant and not the chief librarian (although I do all the work except choosing which books to order) I was asked if I would mind taking another teaching assistant postion for next year so I could teach another to do all I do in the library. The principal asked if I would take the TA's job who wants to be trained for mine, and I agreed to try it. She works with students with quite severe learning and physical and medical and mental disabilities. I will be one of four aides/assistants working in a room together with one teacher, and one of my jobs, I HOPE, will be to follow one or more of them around to regular rooms as they are trying to integrate some of them. The girl who is taking my position next year hates her job. We shall see. I know some of the kids as I have seen them in the library, and most are very nice, if not very limited in what they can do. It will be a change and a challenge.

I hope to stay in the trailer tonight, unless thunderstorms are predicted, in which case I will go inside and hide under my bed!

Soos, I met your black flies the year I workamped in NH. When I got there, the owner of the park and I were walking around and checking out the sites I could have - and before I knew it - my whole face was being eaten. I'd never heard of those flies before, but believe me, I quickly learned. Yuck. I had never in my life used bug spray on myself and face as I did the next few weeks.

Yupper those little baddies are hatched! the girls played softball in Willsboro last night,.... and I kept killing black flies in my neck, my hair, etc. I wore long jeans, and long sleeves to protect.

Actually it's Saturday a.m. here now,... I'm just really running behind!

But gotta say, it is so nice to see Zeee back in her kitchen. Everyone has done a great job to keep the coffee on, but there's nothing like a morning post from Barbzeee,....
