Still cold in Ohio Thursday

Good morning. Noting new going on here but dreaming of my escape for a warmer winter. Reading of the current Florida temperature does reassure me that I am not missing much yet. I will hold up here with layer ons for a couple more weeks and hope that heater in the RV keeps the inside about freezing a while longer.

Here is a morning toast to a good day for everyone.

Judy hope you discover or create and satisfactory solution to your transportation problem. I wonder what is would cost to hire a support person from a home health care provider for a shift?

Yesterday Cheryl (Irishiroam) and I met up and had a fun time talking and eating. That’s what is so wonderful about the Forum. You can meet up with interesting, fun loving women all across the country. I know she posted a photo in Facebook and I’ve asked Beth to post one on here for me. Maybe when we all get to Q someone can show me step by step on my phone how to add a photo. Enjoy today. Peggy

It was a pleasant surprise getting to meet Peggy yesterday and going to lunch with her friend Karen, who is actually working at the train museum across from the SP where I am parked. Karen then had to run an errand in Puerto Palomas, Mexico, right across the border, so she was nice and took me with her. We went to The Pink Store and browsed thru the inventory. Came home empty handed, but I still have a few more days, so may head back. The new passport card got used for the first time too. Construction at the border crossing was a mess, but only because the kids were coming back from school. I think we were the only ones that actually went back into the US.

May run up to Deming today to check out the museum.

Good Morning! Great picture of GTG in Deming! Cheryl, glad to see you have passport CARD. I was wondering how u got back to US! My passport card came through with no problems. I haven’t used mine yet, but who knows what the future holds.? As the passport card meets all requirements for REAL ID, maybe I can get my normal drivers license renewed. The horror stories my friends told of dealing with CA DMV were horrifying.

RAIN IN San Diego!!! So far just sprinkles, but BIG storm is supposed to hit early afternoon. It is predicted to be so big, SEA WORLD closed for the day!

Pouring rain here this morning in San Diego! Yay! We desperately need it here! Wish my car was out from under the carport since it really needs a bath!

I was pulling some weeds yesterday and accidentally grabbed a nettle plant. OUCH!

Last night I went to the Encinitas city councel meeting with the Legalize Ferrets group to see about getting them to help with the ferret legalization in the state. One of the members was just elected to a state position (I forget which one) so she could be very helpful there and she is a ferret supporter.
Anyways, the first thing on the agenda at the meeting was to recognize and give an award to the boy who was attacked by a Great White shark in late September off the shore of Encinitas. He was bitten severely in the torso but miraculously survived, due to three others (who were also recognized at the meeting) who quickly helped him get back to shore. One was a off duty police officer, one was a lifeguard, and one was a man who was out on his kayak nearby who got the boy onto his kayak and back to shore quickly (with the shark following closely behind! ). It was a moving award ceremony.

Stopped at WM after the meeting to pick up a few Christmas decorations for the house. My roommate wants to get a real tree to put up so I thought I would add a few things of my own. I don't usually decorate much since I have mostly lived by myself but I told her she is welcome to do whatever decorating she wants (as long as I don't have to put it away! )
