Cold and Windy Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Cold and Windy Wednesday

Postby Othersharon » Wed Nov 28, 2018 6:39 am

Good morning. Strangely I’m up early today. See a nap in my future! It’s been a rough week for me. I started having a toothache last Wednesday, called my dentist but they were apparently leaving early so have an appointment this morning. By Friday morning my cheek was swollen and the pain was high. Managed to get an appointment with PA at the medical clinic. An injection and script for antibiotic and diagnosis of an abscess. And my dentist closed until today. I completely forgot that besides the holiday it is buck season too. Luckily the meds have helped so we’ll see what they want to do this morning. Last night was the first night I had “real food”. Been living on soup and anything easy to eat. Tina, hope you are doing better. And Judy, you also. Getting older sure has its challenges!

Anne, thanks for all the updates on the fires and glad your safe. Hopefully you can take a breather and can relax a bit. And was happy to see Mickie posting again. Sounds like you’re going to be off on an adventure soon. Hope you find some sunshine. It been in short supply lately here too! Needless to say the leaves haven’t gotten all cleaned up in the yard between the rain and snow! I know what I’ll be doing this spring!!
That’s about all from here. Need to go get a shower and get ready for the day. It’s super windy with blowing snow this morning and since my car didn’t make it to the garage I need to plan on extra time to get out of the driveway! Hope everyone has a good day. Stay warm and safe if you are on the road.

Morning O’Sharon and all. Ouch, hope the dentist gets that tooth taken care of Sharon so you will get to feeling better. Seems like a bit of health issues flaring up here between you, Tina and Judy, hope I’m not missing somebody. Also sending prayers for good results for Tina and Judy. Mickie, great to hear from you! Have a wonderful trip.

Chilly but otherwise nothing much goi png on weatherwise here. Just a light dusting of snow mixed with freezing drizzle yesterday, but I suspect we will lose thatcwhen the warmer air arrives by week’s end as rain in forecast one day.

Nothing much doing for me either. A little at loose ends right now. Got projects I can do, but not motivated to start em. Always do that this time of year when days are shorter. But after holidays, then I get going. Think it’s that I want to get thus and such done by spring goal. Want to go for a drive someplace as I need my “get out on the road” fix for a day. Maybe Friday. Supposed to be nice day.

Time to get moving here. Have a nice day all :)

Wow, I’ve missed a bunch, Hope all who are hurting find some relief!!

C-c-cold here today, very glad for the free heat in our apartment. We started a packing list yesterday so it’s feeling real! We’ve been trying to plan around ballet and theatre tickets but decided we’d simply turn them in if we aren’t here (we can get a credit).

Mickie, I like your plan. Look out the window at the weather and figure warmer is better. Nice that the tickets are refundable, of course. You will need to get your artistic fix in other ways this winter and we all know that there is plenty to see and do in warmer states! Anticipation is fun but the journey is delightfully exciting!

I still haven't formally announced the news to the man in the recliner that I expect to turn the RV south after I get back from Josef's Orlando adventures in December. I do walk around with a winter hat on my head wearing layers and seek to read under a blanket on the couch while occasionally shivering. I have three weeks to get him informed my plans..... I guess I "could" sit around here in Ohio all winter but there are no compelling reasons and my body wants some daytime temperatures above 55 at least! Lark and Audrey need to go on hikes and I really do appreciate sunshine. Something we see all too infrequent here in Ohio winters.

Keep me inspired! Journey on!

I hope the man in the recliner isn't like Harold was. If I said I had a trip planned he would ask me every day when I was leaving and still be surprised when I would say today.

I am busy cooking to get ready for our campout/Christmas Party. I made myself stop at Walmart yesterday so I wouldn't have to go to town today and I still need something. Hopefully the Dollar Store 3 miles down the road will have what I need. I made a pie last night and just finished the first batch of candy. I use the same recipe all the time. Sometimes I think it's not going to get hard and sometimes I can barely get it out of the bowl before it gets hard.

Sharon, hope you can get your tooth taken care of. An abscess is the worst and always at an inconvenient time. I went to the dentist yesterday and must have gotten a good cleaning because my teeth hurt last night. They have started using a pressure washer to clean with and it hurts. My son had an appointment at the same time and didn't show up. If they had sent me the reminder it would have worked better. I keep hoping that he will grow up sometime. When I was 39 my mother wasn't taking care of me, I was taking care of her.

Our weather is warming back up. It's 63 and suppose to be up to 80 by Saturday and rain again.

Pressure washer cleaning!! I had to read that part twice thought I missed something. My dentist doesn't have that yet!'

BJ, a pressure washer is what I call it. I'm sure the dentist has another name for it. It was really uncomfortable when they first started using it. I guess it took a while to get it right. They say to let them know if it hurts but I just try to stand it. I try not to flench because I don't want them to think there is something to be investigated.

Getting ready to go camping is getting to be a lot like work. I have over 11,000 steps on my Garmin. My back and foot hurt. Hope I'm not going to start having foot problems again.

Martha, I hear you. They say use it or lose it. I use it and hurt it. Then I spend a week trying to figure whether I over did it or it’s just my age.
