Last Monday of November

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Monday of November

Postby Colliemom » Mon Nov 26, 2018 4:32 pm

It’s late afternoon here in the east and nobody started coffee today. Are you all snowed in? Storm went south of us here where I am, so we had nothing. But wind is cold from the north.

Barb, I tried that precooked turkey once and didn’t like it either. I hear ya on the fresh veggies. Hard to do for one person. I don’t eat carrots much as they are a high carb veggie, but I do celery. It’s good with cream cheese spread on it and is so low carb, it’s unlinited on most low carb diets. Some people use peanut butter but then you kick up the carb count whereas cream cheese is protein.

Went took shopping this weekend, taking advantage of prices on drills, batteries etc. Need another drill/driver and wanted couple more batteries for my other tools as well. Some women love clothes shopping or sewing etc. Just leave me in Lowe’s, Home Depot or a hardware store

Time to get started on supper here. Have a nice evening or afternoon depending on where you are.

Hi Sue & everyone that follows!

Sue, I agree on both your comments on carrots & celery.

Brenda (Brendac), Steve & I took the tram today through the Everglades. It was very interesting and we both took lots of pictures. Brenda has taught me everything I know about birding, of which I knew nothing. Most of the others on the tram were more interested in the alligators, of which they had plenty. The babies were cute and being tended to by their mommies. Tomorrow we are going back to Key Largo, Wednesday will be a down day doing chores around here and Thursday we'll head back to Ocala.

I hope all of you in the snow storms are safe or wherever you are. Have a good evening.

Hard to believe November almost gone.
Didn't accomplish much over holiday weekend. Some family issues going on and many sick.
Think I can get back to garage purging/organizing after routine appointments tomorrow with sleep and lung doctors.

Irmi, did you take the tram at Shark Valley? That is one of my favorite places to ride a bike!! Long bike ride, but having electric helps. Last time I was there, I took my younger cousin who lives in Coral Gables there for her first bike ride in 30 years! But she did enjoy the birds and alligators.

I'm starting to make reservations for late October 2019 in Forida. I love the desert, but I miss the birds and animals in Florida, also.

Judy, yes, the tram trip was through Shark Valley! We enjoyed it very much and I can see why you did, too. There were a couple bikers that passed us on our side of the tram and his wife and child in a child seat fell, behind him, as we very slowly passed them. There are signs everywhere that the bikers should stop for the trams, as the passageway is very narrow. He said some not very nice things, probably screaming at the driver on the tram, and never once asked his wife or whoever she was, if she and the baby were okay. The driver and tour guide on the tram kept quiet as they picked up their possessions and continued their trip. Mercy sakes!

Yesterday it was 80 and today it was 50. I think it's suppose to be back in the 70's Thursday and of course, rain again. I have been cold all day. I'm just glad it's not snowing here.

The neighbor put a bunch of boards by the side of the road to be picked up so I decided to try to cut some up for firewood. The only saw I could find was a circular saw and I wasn't sure I could use one. Turns out I could. We have a clubhouse for this campout so don't know that we will really need firewood.

I should have gone to the store and picked up what I need to make candy. I need to get on that tomorrow and start loading up. It's only about 50 miles to the campground this time.

I just remembered I have a dentist appointment in the morning. I better put a note on the coffee maker so I don't forget.
