Cold Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Cold Wednesday

Postby Colliemom » Wed Nov 21, 2018 8:52 am

And getting colder. More like January than November. Little snow last night. But nice warm up coming by weekend. Coffee’s hot or tea for those who prefer that, can even whip up hot cocoa too.

Getting ready to head to town. Some business at bank and need a last minute run to store as it was decided late yesterday to sad my jello salad to the dinner menu at friends. I don’t know how crowded store will be as it was jam packed on Monday, so between that and the weekend, I’m thinking lots of people have done their shopping already.

Otherwise not much happening here today other than making the jello salad. Will do pumpkin pie in the morning. Ned to go down and clean up basement workshop from storm window projects, so will probably do that.

Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning
Things are good with me right now, am thankful for being able to work and live this lifestyle I enjoy.
As long as my health holds out, I'm happy.
Only one chore today and that is to go get propane, although I have my little electric heater, I enjoy being able to set the temp on the furnace to kick off and on during the night. This time of year is so weird, furnace at night and a.c. during the afternoon. Lol
Y'all have a great Thanksgiving

Good morning. Expecting rain for the next few days, and wind that I am not so happy about but we need the rain. Emma really doesnt like the rain on the roof. She really hasnt had much since we have been so dry. She doesnt mind being out in it but not keen about the noise it makes on my metal patio and carport.

Glad I dont need anything at the store today, I went on Monday and it was crazy. Have plenty of food to tide me over until next week.

Will be sharing Thanksgiving with my BFF Laura and her family (Sis and BIL live here in Medford). I really like her family so should be fun. Hope they dont have too crappy a drive down here tomorrow as it is supposed to be worse tomorrow.

The silly sun is peeking out right now LOL sure hope they are right about the rain.

Karen, I hope you and Northern Cali get rain!

It's past 10 and I'm still languishing in bed. Lazy? Yes. I feel my best late at night so take advantage of that time of day. My sinuses are acting up again. Always mornings are worse. But luckily I have a dog and cannot languish much longer. So time to get a move on. The day seems to be warming up nicely so no cold morning walk... Another reason to stay in bed later. Yes, not only can I procrastinate, I can reason most things to accept what I do lol

Beth, that is the beauty of living alone in my mind. I can get up as early as I want and wont disturb anyone, or I can sleep late with zero guilt. I can eat what I want when I want. Dinner at 3pm okay or 7pm okay. I can have cereal, tacos, sandwich, ice cream, peanut butter toast OR I can have pot roast, spaghetti, etc The only one I have to answer to is the DOG LOL she requires a lot of answering LOL

Raining in Eugene right now, so rain is real. Looks like it is also raining in most of Northern California so that should help with the fires. Hopefully they will be done for a while. Heading to urology to get my kidney checked. Might need to get stone zapped. Going to be a busy winter medically if I get cataract surgery!!

I am Thankful to be relatively healthy with problems that mostly can be fixed. Bought a couple of turkey thighs to cook tomorrow.

Less than an hour from my destination of Brewster NY, driveway. I waved to OtherSharon as I passed her exit on I80 and remembered all the ramblings she took my on when I stopped and visited. She does live in a beautiful
part of PA. I didn’t sleep well last night my radar kept thinking it was suppose to be keeping track of Audrey and Lark who had already left for their away camping. As I have always maintained, dogs are therapeutic and I need multiple medications and apparently that is also daily dosages.

Hope everyone finds their own spirit of Thanksgiving. Large dinners not necessary but are usually tasty.

A year ago today, I closed on my house. Doesn't seem that long ago!

Just came from the doctors office. I have been feeling really down in the past several months and it seems to be getting worse. My doctor increased the dose of my depression meds and referred me for counseling, and also suggested some books to read. I think I have gotten so wrapped up emotionally in the political stuff and then the recent shooting and fires out here kind of overwhelmed me, making me feel anxious and helpless...

I went to the store yesterday and thought I had everything I needed, but no, I had to go again. Today I decided to make some other things to bring to my sister-in-laws tomorrow. She requested a buttermilk pie so I got 2 of them made. I made some lime jello salad that my family called green stuff. I'm probably the only one that likes it. I cooked a roast in the slow cooker. I hate to set an alarm to get up but It's at least a 2 hour drive. It isn't suppose to rain but I just looked out and it raining now.

I think I got everything done except clean the car. I probably should have gotten gas but I'm sure there will be gas stations open. I'm about to the point that I wish I had decided to just stay home.
