Sunny Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Monday

One of the things I love about the desert are the cold nights. Great for sleeping. One of the things I HATE about the desert are the cold mornings lol they are ok when I sleep in and the sun starts warming everything up. Today I have someone washing and waxing my rig... He started at 7:30. Ty was still totally cuddled under the comforters in bed. We both would have happily stayed there another hour, maybe two. It's now getting nice out. Going to be beautiful the rest of the day. Meantime Ty and I have been for two cold walks... And I learned the tiny little heater I put in the casita does a great job if I close the door. If I have energy after the rig is done I think I'll do a load or two of laundry and change sheets. I want to see if I can turn my mattress and get another year or two life from it. I'm form fitting in it now... Which actually works as long as I stay in that one spot!

Ty is so funny. He couldn't get comfortable here in the casita. I grabbed an old blanket and put it down and called it his bed... He's happy as can be. He loves his beds.

Still morning here in still snowy PA. Well, right now it seems to be rain with flurries in the forecast for later. Had aa bit of excitement yeterday. Neighbor texted me to ask if I saw or heard another the night before...someone jumped the curb and took out part of the strip of yard beside the road, knocked over her two huge planters and splintered the power pole. She wondered if my security camera might have picked anything up. We managed to narrow down the time and I started reviewing the feed. Bingo, 5:29 am a large pickup was visible and got a pretty good shot of it as it came by my house. The trooper watched and used his phone to video it since I had no idea how to copy it and forgotten how long the loop is. She texted me again about 9 last night and said she heard from the trooper that he got the guy! Apparently he was so drunk he didn’t remember even doing it but the video told the story. To late to get him for driving drunk but a batch of other charges heading his way. And my kids tease me about having the cameras! Ha, points for mom!

Nothing else going on here. Today will be an inside day. Beth, laughed about Ty and his beds. I have beds all over the house. With just one dog now Rascal has his pick! My guys love their beds too and a blanket will do sometimes too! Anne, hoping for rain for you folks. Going to watch the noon news and then decide what else I need to do! Have a good day!

It's gray and overcast today but still 70. We have about a 70% chance of rain so I looked on the radar and it's just to the West of here and all the way into Texas. Guess it will rain all afternoon. Oh darn, it's suppose to rain on Black Friday. I can't think of anything I need bad enough to go shopping this weekend.

Last night I decided to try to clean my dryer, not just the screen I clean all the time. I figured out how to take off the plastic guard so I could put the vacuum cleaner wand in there. There was a 22 bullet in the dryer. No telling how long it had been in there. Good thing the heat didn't set it off. Might be hard to explain being shot by your dryer.

I would like to have cameras that show the front and back yard so if I hear something I don't have to go outside at night. I just don't want to pay a monthly fee for a security system. I tried to set up the camera we had when Harold was sick and I couldn't get it connected. I wanted to see what the cats were doing while I was gone. I use to be able to view it on my computer.

As usual, I feel like there is something I should be doing. I told my son I would take him out to eat for his birthday last week. I think I'll just wait until he decides when and where he wants to go.

After noon already. Off to work in a few hours.

Emily is laying next to me giving my arm a bath! She is almost a year old now. I hope she is full grown 'cause she is a big cat already!

Got two chrysalis's but the third caterpillar is hanging but no chrysalis. He has been like that for two days so I think he may have died. :( I need to go back outside and check the plants for more caterpillars.

Cloudy and no wind today. Highs in the upper 60's this week.

Martha, why would there be a bullet in your dryer?

Beth, what are you using your casita for? Is there a bathroom in there?
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, I probably washed something of Harold's that had the bullet in the pocket. It was down inside the dryer where the lint goes.

I haven't seen one of my outside cats since I got home. It's the one that isn't very tame but he is usually around for meals.

I ran errands today--groceries and getting my eyes checked at LensCrafters at the Mall. My left eye has been bothering me lately because the prescription does not seem to be right anymore.

Very nice ophthalmologist said my problem was really the cataract in my left eye, and said it would make more sense to get it removed than get a new prescription in my glasses. DARN! Talk about denial. I knew I had cataracts, the left one being the worst, but I was hoping to put it off until next summer when I would be in Ohio near my younger son and Cleveland Clinic. Figured he could drive me in, etc. I keep thinking about my mother's cataract surgery and worried about it, but I have been told by this guy and some of you that it is really easy these days. He said I should be up and not needing care by the next day.

So, first thing tomorrow, I am going to do some research and find a good ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery. In the meantime, I wish the stuff he put in my eyes wears off so I can see to type!!!!!

No bathroom, no water or plumbing to it. Electric and cable, though. Bare bones. It started it's life as a fairly good sized storage shed. Somewhere along the way someone turned it into a small section for storage and a small (No more than 8 x 10) room. If I was staying here more I'd fix the room up more. Instead it's got a little table and two chairs (which I use outside also) and a table with a toaster oven that I don't bring with in the rv but love using when here to avoid heating the rv up for little things.
