Monday, Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, Monday

Postby bluepinecones » Mon Nov 05, 2018 11:06 am

Good morning
I seem to be having a hard time getting started today. To do list is long and not very interesting.
Chance of some very dangerous weather overnight tonight. Our TORCON is 5 (50% chance of tornadoes) between the hours of 2:00 and 5:00 AM. That is most dangerous as most people will be asleep and not hear alarms.
The first of the holiday open house at antique malls was the past weekend. Next one is a 4 day affair over the coming weekend. I have a little more to do to get ready for it but at least I'm close to finished.Next I need to turn attention to Magic. My poor little RV has not been serviced yet. First freeze forecast for next Saturday night.
I need to get going on something before I loose the day. Hope you have a good one.

Morning Sarah and all who follow. Sleeping through tornados works for me. I don't want to know.I know, not the way they say to do it, but better than the time my mom and I sat in our kitchen watching out the window as a tornado wreaked havoc around us.

I'll spend some time this afternoon helping decorate the rec hall for Veteran's Day. Nothing else really planned. Other than I'll have a revolt soon if I don't get dog walking taken care of. I'm still lying in bed... Didn't sleep good.

Beth, sounds like you had a good sale this weekend too. Less stuff to push around and find a place for. Sarah, I hope you sell a lot of your stuff at the open house next weekend.

I sure don't miss tornadoes! I was the first one in the basement before the sirens even went off! As soon as the sky turned green, I was headed downstairs! I got a NOAA weather radio to have especially for the overnight storms. I wanted to know if I could relax and enjoy the thunderstorms rolling thru or if I needed to pay attention and take cover.

Got up early this morning to go to U-Haul to get the wiring done. Well, I was told the hitch guy doesn't work on Mondays. I told the manager that I moved the appointment from Friday afternoon (which I was told that appointment wasn't even on the books) to Monday. He said they have new people being trained in on reservations. So now I supposedly have a reservation for Wednesday morning at 9am. I will call tomorrow to make sure it is on their books. Luckily it isn't too far from me and I can walk down to the beach to wait for it to be done.
I had breakfast at an old historic diner across the street, drove down to the beach and watched the huge waves, stopped at an RV dealer to look around and then headed home. Might just take a little nap here and then start working on my election ballot. Then do some cleaning.

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I got Christmas shopping done for four out of five grandkids--just one to go. Am in process of wrapping Ohio kids stuff and putting it into a bug box for shipping. Will also send some brochures and stuff I got in England so it can go into storage at my son's house. I am looking through stuff now, and hope to someday have a chance to look through it all again.

Cold and drizzly here in Eugene, so not going out at all today. I've got lots of food for the week and work to do to keep me busy, so no need to go out anyway. It took me a while to get warmed up in bed last night. I love my down comforter because it really helps me stay warm.

No tornadoes here, at least!!

Finished my chores outside today as it started out chilly but the sun is out now. Had to seal up a couple places on my gutters that had leaks, got that done without falling off the step ladder LOL Did a little raking of leaves that blow my way and seem to pile up in my carport. I did have my long underwear on when I started out but now need to take it off and just hang with the sweatshirt. BUT I love the cool sunny days.

Paid my property taxes today...always something. Next month house insurance. Oh well have to do it.

Made keto pizza yesterday so guess I will reheat the leftovers for lunch. Sure tasted good. Thought I had an appt for my infusion next week BUT it is next month day after Christmas LOL Sure glad I looked. Take the Motorhome in for winterization on the 21st this month. If I want to go camping I can just take some jugs of water to flush and wash dishes.

Good Morning, sez I in the afternoon . Finished my swim pool exercises for the day. It is such a great relief to be out of that horrible pain.
Sarah, I enjoyed the video you posted some days ago with the cowboys singing. I couldn't figure out why the sound was not working on my iPad. Then yesterday, saw the GGD (8 years old) had an iPad just like mine, so asked her, and, she showed me why. Thank heavens for the kids whose know about these things.

We got the fiber optic cable hooked up...saved over $150 per month on bill now. My email address will be changing from cox.net to gmail soon. Picture on TV is much clearer .

Hi Ladies!

Lyn, I am so glad you are pain free!

It is warm and humid in Ocala but that is better than wet and cold. I am going to talk to Brenda, our neighbor from Canada, about putting a GTG here in southern Ocala. It's time some of us got together again and I love to cook.

I was busy today, over 10,000 steps. Had to take Hank for a blood test to see if he is doing ok on the medicine the vet prescribed. He thinks Hank should stay on Carprofen from now on for his arthritis. I don't like the idea of him being on a medicine that could damage his liver and he has to have a blood test every month. I am going to board Sweetie Pie with the vet this weekend. Hopefully she will be ok with them and I don't want to be off in Texas and have a problem with her. I have another campout the 15th and don't know if I will take her then. She is my new shadow and wants to lay on my feet every time I sit down.

November is my month to make a dessert for the Cattlewomen dessert of the month. It's a fund raiser that they auction off every year. I was going to wait until next week to make something but decided to make a cake today and get that out of the way. I will go vote and deliver the cake tomorrow. Tomorrow I have to load up so I'm not noon getting on the road Wednesday.

Our weather is just crazy. It was up to 85 today and very windy. It's so humid that everything is sweating. Makes the carport dangerous to walk on. They can't make up their minds about whether we are going to have severe weather or not. I hope it's not raining Wednesday.

Martha you might want to look into CBD for Hank. I see several people on FB groups saying it really helps their dogs with arthritis and several other health problems. Here is a link to some of the best rated brands. https://www.ravereviews.org/health/best-cbd-for-dogs/
