November 1, Rabbits

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

November 1, Rabbits

Postby Shirlv » Thu Nov 01, 2018 9:11 am

Good Morning All, Did remember Rabbits and o’boy need a little luck. First time in all the years I have lived here that I only had one trick or treater. He was a cute 2 yr old dinosaur. He tapped so gently on the door I almost missed him. I laughingly said you have to knock harder. Ha ha he walked up and almost put his fist through the door. Careful what you say to two year olds. Another beautiful day so will spend it out doors picking up sticks from the huge maple trees. Barbie so glad your worrisome tree is down. Now you will need to plant sun loving flowers. Safe travels.

The puppers and I are still holed up here in wet Ohio. I was able to find out some information regarding the start dates of the spring scoring contracts that I like to work here in Ohio in order to replenish my dog and travel money. It does appear that travel this winter might be a possibility. Lark is excited. She remembers those puppy rambles she made in Northeast when she first came to claim our hearts. I was told that the projects are not expected to start until the end of March! Need to get through the Columbus Ohio dog shows and a family thanksgiving in Brewster, New York, in November and Josef's trip to Orlando in December. We will not be bored.

Good morning Everybody,
Just a so so cloudy day here in Hartford. On Tuesday I Took my Roadtrek to MAACO for a paint job which it really needed. For some reason the paint started to come off everywhere. Tina, yesterday I was in Pawling NY which is one town north of Brewster on 22. I hope to be in Deming, NM for Thanksgiving. Too bad I'm never here when you come east. Hope our paths cross again somewhere. Enjoy today. Peggy

I said rabbits but I'm not sure if I talked to Ty first.

There's a big community sale here Saturday. I signed up for my lot as I have things to get rid of. Maybe I can pick up a couple dollars. So yesterday I spent going through things. I'll put my scooter out with a for sale sign also, but it needs a new battery so might not get a taker. Who knows.

I bought some brackets to use under the ends of my tension rods. Put the ones on one window before leaving SD and they are doing exactly what I wanted. So maybe today I'll add them to a couple other windows. For the first time in 4 years the rod going the width of the rv hiding the overcab area wiggled loose so I got some for it also.

Ty is giving kisses that he wants to go out... Happy November everyone.

I remembered "rabbits" just after midnight.

We are having our carport sale here on Saturday too. Will go thru stuff today for it. My handyman just showed up to help me move my oversized bookcase outside for it. It is just too big for my room. I would rather have a couple smaller ones.

Need to go back to UHaul this morning. They gave me a quote (much more reasonable than the other place) on putting in the wiring and break controller in my Jeep but they want to see the parts I bought to see if they will work out.

I forgot to put out the trash last night and the garbage truck comes at 7:30 am, so I missed him for this week. Darn!

Chilly this morning. My furnace has come on a few times already.

Also need to go thru my voting ballot and get that done. There are a ton of propositions on it so I need to read the pros and cons of all those. Will drop that off on Tuesday morning.

Hope you all have a good day! :D

Good Morning ! I remembered “rabbits”. Gads, Nov all ready! My older daughter turns 65, and DIL 60.

Yesterday went and got the new tags for my truck. Then I went and filled out the paper work and got the picture for my new “passport card”. This will allow me to fly here in the US, and return from either Mexico or Canada. Less expensive than a pass port.

Now today, I am going to do something I have not done for at least 15=years. Go to a movie in a movie theater!!! You will have to read tomorrow’s MC to find out which movie I chose and how I liked or disliked it!!!

Nice sunny day here. Lyn

I was up until about 2:00AM so should have said rabbits. I did but cannot remember if I spoke to Nicky first.
A stormy start to Nov here in north AL. Round one included a tornado watch which expired without incident. Round two currently underway.
I will post link to a simple survey on cellular opinions in the General section. The folks doing this regularly provide a wealth of information on staying connected while traveling in the US.
Wishing everyone a great new month

Good morning all! Hard to believe it's November 1 already.

I got my first passport probably 15 years ago and never used it. Lyn, what is a passport card??

I completely forgot rabbits! My mornings usually start with something like "Oh, Drew, you found your ball," which I know because he's dropped it on me. We then progress to the "jump over my legs" game, wherein I move the ball from one side of the bed to the other while he leaps over my body to grab for it. After that, I'm awake enough to crawl out of bed and begin the day!

Brought my wiring adapter and brake controller in to UHaul today and they can use those, so the whole cost for wiring, connecting and everything will come to $197. The adapter cost me $12 bucks and the brake controller was $54. They will install it tomorrow afternoon. I will be all set when I finally find the trailer I want!

Here is the upside to having my big tree gone...from my porch tonight... (colors were much more vibrant than what shows on here).

We had the bad weather blow through about 2:30 last night. There were tornado warning so the alarm on the phone and tv kept coming on. It was making so much noise I thought it was blowing everything off the porch but I don't see anything that moved so don't know what was making all the noise. The storm was moving so fast we only got an inch and a half of rain instead of the 3 inches predicted.

I was busy today shuttling motorhomes. I went to pick up the new one and drop off the old one. The old one needed a new carbon monoxide detector. I had ordered one and thought I could change it but the old one had 3 wires and the new one only had 2 wires. I didn't know which wires to use. Got my son to come pick me up and went back for the old motorhome.

Tomorrow I have to go pick up my cat in Lake Charles where she had surgery. They had to put pins in her leg and one will have to come out in 6 weeks. I didn't ask what kind of care she will need but will probably have a cone and have to be kept in a kennel for a while. Guess I'll be camping with a cat again. I don't know how she broke her leg but probably got hit by the 4 wheeler. I think if it had been a car it would have been much worse.

I'm not looking forward to the time change. I will have to start my afternoon activities early or I will be out in the dark. It is already down to 59 tonight so might have to turn on the heat. I got cold last night but was too lazy to get up and put the heat on.

Had boring and exhausting last two days and almost no sleep last night, but I did post something in the Members Only forum. Having a light dinner and headed to bed early after a shower. Whew!

My six-year old Kindle will no longer upload, so I got a deal on an 8" Kindle Fire, and am going to order it as soon as I get my address at the RV park I will be staying at for 2-3 months. It will be nice to have a place to ship things to!! Also, my Amazon Chase credit card where i earn points and had paid off completely so that I could charge my generator rebuild, has been cancelled because someone illegally charged something small in Louisiana a week ago! Had same problem with my credit union Visa card a couple of years ago, so it is really critical to have two credit cards, just in case. New card is being shipped to my Ohio address, so son will have to fed-ex it to me.

I think I spoke to Shadow first then remembered Rabbit's but not sure if I did it was whispered you would think I would just do it right after midnight as I am normally up...
Am in Ogden UT till Monday then plan on being in Q by either Thursday or Friday there is a social at church I want to attend on Friday night Ava will be there fun and for those who remember Alice can't remember her pin name something about amy??? like amy's mom not sure anyway she is on her way to Q so looking forward to seeing her again..
new toilet was put in today when I talked to another person at Utah State Trailer she said that generally most of those parts are not repairable and it is a 12 year old toilet so got a new one....Son in law put it in the pedal is on the opposite side of the old ones so had to make another trip back to get something to make the water line go further and not kink or whatever... not sure what he was talking about but it isn't an issue now and the toilet flushes. It's been a busy month a quick trip down to help daughter move some stuff then a short week and half later came down to baby sit for 10 days then home and the next day packing up to leave as the week I thought I would have turned out to be a ugly one according to weather... so my Idaho Son in law helped me with outside stuff hooked up the 5th wheel then I did stuff inside we went to visit my mom and Tuesday was on my way...here I need to get the truck oil changed and a check over ect plan on leaving on Monday hopefully nothing will appear on that check up. Looking forward to warmer weather been staying at daughter's house because of the toilet and tonight because of the truck being in the shop and a friend is picking me up here which is closer than the park the trailer is at tomorrow night will be in my home which is always good
enjoy your month

I wonder what is going on. I, too, had a fraudulent charge ($15!) on my Discover card yesterday. I received a text (I didn't even know that Discover would send texts in cases of a questionable charge - good to know!) asking if I had bought something online at "Forever 21" (LOL - forever 21 - I wish!!) and said "no", so they immediately cancelled my card. Time from fraudulent charge to card cancellation, only about 15 minutes!!

As it happens, I do have two credit cards, although I have been thinking of cancelling the second card, as I rarely use it. Now I am glad that I have it.

As you say, Judy, important to have two cards, "just in case".

Say, I might be interested in your proposed Bandon GTG. I had paid reservations for the GTG there last summer, but had to cancel due to being extremely ill due to the mosquito bite I got while in Yellowstone. Three trips to Urgent Care, two trips to the ER, saw a total of 4 different doctors. I don't remember ever being quite so ill. Down for the count for nearly 6 weeks. Ugh. The bills finally started arriving yesterday - thank heavens for Medicare and my supplemental insurance plan!
