Hi from Louisiana

Come on in and say hello.

Hi from Louisiana

Postby VickieP » Wed May 13, 2009 10:56 pm

Hey yall, I'm just getting around to posting. Took me a while to figure out photobucket, just after I had learned Picasa3, and I was so proud of myself, lol. Well, I'm in the southwest corner of Louisiana, 48 years old, divorced but now living with current better half for 10 years, so I guess it anywhere but LA it would be common law. We have two fur doggies, Weatherby is a Jack Russell & Remi (Remington) is a 70+ lb. mix we rescued on the side of the road when he was just a few weeks old.

I've been camping since I was a little girl and love traveling. We have a Raptor Toyhauler we bought last year right before Hurricane Ike. Before that we had a Holiday Rambler TT we purchased used because was modified for a wheelchair user, which my DH(Homie, lol) has been in for 20+ years now. Anyway, I made a few changes and more to come to the Raptor and look forward to lots of use. Um, that's it for now, guess I'll take any questions, comments, etc. and try to fill in the blanks, as I'm gonna cut this off with my laptop battery getting low. Great to be here, I need women around me to keep me sane in this house with 3 males!

Hi, Vickie!

Welcome to this forum, whose members are the most welcoming, warm, nosy, kind, and funny group of women you'd ever care to know. I think you'll really enjoy it here. I know I have in the short time since I joined. And just to comment - that's a lot of testosterone you're living with! You'll need us to help reach the kinder, gentler side of you!

Hi Vickie!

Nice to meet you and I look forward to seeing you on and posting often.

Loved getting so much info on you - and would love to see pics inside your toy hauler - I find those so interesting.

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome. I'll have to work on getting more pics transfered to Photobucket so I can post them.

Beth, (also my sister's name) I'll get more pics of the TH inside when it gets back from the shop (It had a generator problem after only 39 hours).

Mtngal, I lived in TX for 17 years, in Victoria & worked a couple of years in Bay City at the nuclear plant and then for a real estate office specializing in 1000+ acre ranches, so I traveled around alot throughout TX. Plus my ex worked for a road paving company and all the wives would meet them on the weekends wherever they were, stayed in a whole lot of podunk towns.

Give me yall's opinion, I think I may have it worded wrong in my signature, it should mean two 4pawed boys, but I always just say "the boys" but didn't want it to look like human boys  so I said 4 pawed. Is that clear or what! Now it sounds more confusing.

I didn't know how many fur kids you had by the signature, but knew it was at least two, so worked for me. And we're known for being confusing - and the funny thing - most of us understand it - but let any of the men read - and they need things explained to them.

Hi Vickie and welcome! I'm a wannabe like almosthere. I live in Illinois with my DH and three dogs none of them like to travel. But, my big Standard Poodle will go anywhere if I ask. I get 'the look' I'm sure being a dog person you have experienced that look.
