Hello Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hello Saturday

Postby avalen » Sat Oct 06, 2018 7:55 am

Good morning
It's going to be a yard clean up day as its finally dried out enough to take. Supposed to maybe get a little more rain this evening but with AZ, ya never know if its true. Also want to drive out and check on the fifthwheel as the last storm dropped a lot of rain. Want to make sure I have developed any leaks.
I have all week off and planned lunch with an old co worker on Tuesday, then thinking about a drive out to LaPosa to check out what the storm did there. Maybe spend the night, maybe not, but will be fun to get out at least and its only a half tank away :D
A few days ago, a co-worker was found dead in the road, his car nearby. He was a bus aide, really fun, nice guy, but I think his alcoholism finally did him in. He used to be a driver until he got a dui.
Not much else going on in my world, my two girls certainly keep me sain though. Love my dogs!!
Y'all have a great day, be safe.

Good Morning Everyone!! I’ll give this another try this morning, I’ve lost two post recently, thinking my service isn’t the best here on my IPad. Phone is fine but fingers to fat for key pad unless I turn it sideways and of course I never think of it  I’ve been trying to keep up with you all, and sometimes that’s a job  Glad to hear of those camping out west and Beth I know exactly where you’re at. Alice and I met up there last summer and I found then after first night rates had doubled for following nights. Great place to stop over though, my grands enjoyed the playground.

Today is going to be a slow moving day, big work day yesterday, I’m one day really on the job and next off! Washed the RV yesterday, no places to have it done around here and had to get love bugs off. I’ve almost outgrown that job  have to find a place to have it done . Washed one side and front early morning then worked on cleaning and arranging my bathroom, it’s too big, I keep changing things and a lot of floor to mop often. Then evening finished up washing RV, I do shady sides, therefore a morning and evening job, which these days that job has to be broken up into doable segments

Sun keeps coming and going the prediction for rain isn’t that high but really makes no difference to me. If it doesn’t rain may feel I should get out and mow an area by front porch that grows twice as fast as rest of the yard. Rain will take that option away :D Have a riding mower so not a big deal and not that large an area. It’s right where Mr P and I walk out on walkway and I NEED to see what might be sliding through that grass that grows too fast there.

Rambling enough, will shut up and see if this flies away or post so you all know I’m still around and thinking of you! Take care all, stay safe if you’re out on those roads, sure sorry you couldn’t do your route south, Beth. Weather turned fast out there, I’ve been caught out there too, back when I was first starting my solo traveling, kind of scary to me at that time had never traveled in snow and alone in it and so far away from home base was scary.

Must shut up!!

First day of our haircut sale so it was pretty busy.

Sun finally came out this after noon and it is windy but nice out. Nice breeze blowing thru the house!

Ava, sorry to hear about your co-worker. Alcoholism is a nasty disease. Did you get a lot of rain there this past week?

Nothing else much going on here.

Enjoy the rest of your day and safe travels if you are on the road!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Afternoon. Had a super fun day. Sandi, Diana and I went out to the Pow Wow. Had some excellent fresh to order fry bread, mmmmmmm so good. Pow Wow was excellent some really great dancers for sure. I loved the little kids and the elder men were super. We left in the afternoon to stroll the vendors again in case we missed something. We were tired and we were seated under a canopy for "elders" LOL But the hard metal chairs were getting to all of us so we left a bit early. Took Diana back to her motel and Sandi and I came home to walk the pups. Tomorrow Diana has to head home so Sandi and I are going down to the Sundial Bridge then up to Whiskeytown lake. Diana went there this morning before the Pow Wow so glad she got to see it. So far a really fun weekend. More to come as we are both leaving on Tuesday morning back to our real lives LOL

Karen, I thought Laura was going also?

I'm at a Walmart. Finally got my sim card fixed and my new phone going. I had over 120 apps to load up
Lucky the play store does it automatically, but I needed wifi. Remembered this Walmart and then, just before the it to it there was a big lit sign across the interstate that there was an accident at the border to NM just ahead... So this became an overnight stop. Good thing because the apps are still loading lol

Not sure if I'll have a signal tomorrow... The state park I plan to head to is in a canyon, and I think signal were spotty last time.

Beth, one of my absolute favorite COE parks in Cochiti Lake in NM. It is about 25 miles southwest of Santa Fe and has beautiful water and electric sites for $10 for seniors!

Karen, I replaced my ASUS Zenfone with a different model ASUS Zenfone.

Judy, I haven't been to that park and may check it out, but I'm purchasing (I think) the NMSP annual pass and will mainly be staying in the state parks, usually dry camping.
