First day of autumn

Good morning. Sandi, loved the pictures of your trip down the canyon. All the years I lived in Flagstaff I never got to experience that. As a kid I figured I had all the time in the world to do it later! Spent the evening with Kelly (elkriverrats) and two of her hiking friends last night. She and I will meet up in Benezette tomorrow for a couple of days in Elk Country. Weather isn’t looking great but at this point I don’t care what it does! I just want to get out in Lola at least once more before I have to think about winter! This has been a lousy summer for traveling! Both the weather and the worry about the old pup and his comfort. My goodness, Beth, sounds like you may have a busy day today! But the end is in sight! Irmi, there are definitely advantages to living near the coast! Yum!

I spent a good part of yesterday helping my friends move out of the old TT and into their new one. She had shoulder surgery on Tuesday and couldn’t do much. Although she did do more then she should have! I think they’re going to have some fun times in it! So with that I need to get busy loading Lola and get to the store for a few things. I hope you all have a wonderful week end.

Good Morning, Down flat on my back with leg pain from slipped disc. Agony to walk but must take Benji out. Val is out of town till Tuesday. Tomorrow I will go to other daughters and lay on her couch all day. Could have gone today, but keep hoping the pain will lessen.

It's the first day of autumn here, and it almost feels like autumn! Cool dry day and brilliant sun. Now the leaves need to turn color . . .

Sandi, I really enjoyed the pictures from your trip. One more thing to add to my bucket list.

Lyn, I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. When I was working, I had a herniated disc and I've never had pain worse than that. Please get well soon.

Louise, it doesn't feel like fall here in MD, but at least we can have the windows open and don't have to use the a/c.

Way past morning here in central Wisconsin near Eau Claire. Definately felt like Fall here last night with low in the 30s. Brrrr. Just here for the weekend then off minneapolis for lunch with support ladies I knew from work again because one of them couldn't make it the last time I was there. Then off to SD and south. Only going as far as mitchell. Would like to do a new Mexico this year.

Lyn sorry to hear your back is giving you problems. Sandi great pics on your trip with your favorite mule. Velda thinking of you often.

My best friend Linda, who has been here since September 6, has departed for home. So today is really the first alone day Chris and I have had. I made him French toast and scrambled eggs, which I haven't had time to do recently. I made a new one minute muffin recipe that is a keeper recipe , but you do need coconut flour and almond flour. Once mixed took just over a minute in microwave. So we are starting with various projects. Mine began with laundry and clean sheets for my two beds, one of which Linda used, even though Mel has been its recent occupant. Much easier for her than basement stairs and we got to talk more!
Rest of day I will spend in 15 min increments sorting and storing or shredding or tossing. Need to get Mel's photos put in safe place until I can get scanner to work to start that project.
I'm ok unless tears get triggered which naturally they do on regular basis and that's ok. So much going on in my head of stuff that I need to do and planning for future, some of which must wait until $$ begins coming in again.
Funny as I helped Linda out with her luggage, the early day air had this different coming towards fall feel. Still mid 90's late afternoon, but 50's at night. I found one gorgeous colored leaf on the ground, the first of many to come, and hadn't realize it was first autumn day!

I don't pay attention to dates unless I have to go and do something on a certain day so sure didn't
realize that it was the first day of Autumn... visited with my mom via phone think Monday we will go see if we
can find some fall colors..I try to go over on Monday why??? not sure but if I don't on that day it generally doesn't happen
today was one of those lazy days I finally got dressed only cause I was going to go up to the house...did finish the wreath
I was making.... so hope that this winter someone will educate me on how to post photo's. when I post it on FB maybe someone can snag it and post it for me... then been working on an afghan for my nephew down to the border...yea only to start one for my niece...want to be able to give it to her in Dec she will be in NV when her dad's ashes will be interred... they are so expensive to mail..cost more to mail then for the yarn...
