It's Sunday!

Hi everyone!

It's almost 2:00 P.M. and thought we needed a today post.

We got another half bushel of crabs this past week and have been enjoying crab cakes and cream of crab soup. We're switching over today to a baked Oven Stuffer Roaster with a couple other sides. Church was this morning and it was a nice service, and very special to Steve & I. He is outside cutting grass as we'll get the remnants of Florence tomorrow but according to the news, won't be more than an inch of rain. My sister and family are in NC and our nephew was hit hard and hasn't had power since Friday and has lots of water in his basement and lots of tree damage. We've been flooded four times, live inland and know it no picnic. My heart goes out to them.


For those not on Facebook, Barb Zee is in the hospital with congestive heart failure and angina.

So sad about the flooding and damage in NC.

Sorry to hear about Barb Zee too. I hope she will recover OK.

About to get ready for work here. My roommate had to go up to Ramona due to a family emergency (daughter) last night. So will be by myself here for another day or two.

Good afternoon. Been busy this morning and I broke down and turned on my heat as it was only 62° inside and 40° outside. Sun is out now so warming up a bit.

Irmi, Barb called me this morning and she sounds really good. Cheerful as always but she still has issues and will be in the hospital for a few more days for testing. Stress test and maybe another heart cath. She is worried but likes her doctors. Liver enzymes are elevated for some unknown reason they were normal on the first draw and then shot up later. sounds like a med issue. Time will tell.

feel like I have been MIA for the last couple of days
Thursday I talked to my dd and decided I needed to make a quick trip to her house
so here I am will leave probably tomorrow perhaps today but it is late enough that I will
stay over till tomorrow have to figure out a new FB password so hate it!!!
but we got lots done and visited the Utah State fair which is a really good one
spent time with family so been a hectic busy weekend but totally enjoyable
I have also had my back account hacked into what a pain in the puttie that is

No kidney pain for 24 hours, so hope my stone has passed. Kidney stones are funny things because they move and they also have sharp edges or points. So for a while, they can be moving down and scratch things up and block the kidney flow, which causes the bleeding and pain, and then they can move and find a more comfortable spot for a while, so pain goes away. But could move again.

I am really liking this LePage Park campground much better this time of year than in August which is when I was here before. Lots of noisy jet boats and big families then, plus temps in upper 90s. Now, almost no families, even this weekend, and only a few, less noisy boats, with temps in low 70s. Even though yesterday was Saturday, I walked around and you could hear people talking in the distance instead of the roar of boats, plus there was a pleasant breeze and sunshine. And there were empty campsites on Saturday night. Should be even quieter during the coming week. There is still some road noise in the distance, but it is not too bad from my far end of the park. All the pull-through sites are along the river, so nice view, also. Good deal to have electric and water for only $12.50 for us seniors.

I found out that the park was named by Lewis and Clark when they stopped here--now THAT is neat! And the local Native American tribes use the end of the day use park to exercise their treaty fishing rights, so they are camped way down there and have maybe 50 big nets stretched out there drying.
