Barbie, this is what my friend uses, she swears by it.

Frontline Plus kills both fleas and ticks, and kills and repels Mosquitos. ... Protection against ticks and mosquitoes should also factor into your decision and if they are known to be a problem in your area, then Frontline is a better choice because Advantage II is ineffective against both.Aug 9, 2018

And Frontline Plus is what didn't work at all for Peaches and my vet said wasn't the best choice. Every dog/cat etc is different, so don't blindly trust any of them. But after my experience with Frontline Plus, it's on the bottom of my list.

I ended up buying CatMD Advanced 2. Supposed to be just the same as Advantage but cheaper. We'll see how it works. I liked Advantage but it seemed to only work for 3 weeks. Frontline was way too expensive at PetSmart, so I got this stuff instead.

It is ridiculous how much they want for flea treatments.

There is expensive and there is expensive. And individual experience vary depending upon species, etc. I have found that many of the generics don't work as well or the "name brand" bought online isn't always the same product but a knock off. Over the years and from past bad experiences of having to deal with treating the whole house and yard, etc., I have come to understand that sometimes is saves me money to purchase a more expensive but effect product up front than it is to purchase all the products needed to treat the house, yard and multiple critters after fleas have a invaded my environment.

Yes, I have read about the knock-offs too on-line and at discount stores, just like with hair care products. With two cats, I just can't afford $100 for 6 months (3 mos for both cats) for Frontline. Advantage is half that amount for 6 months. Will hope for the best with this one.
