Mornin' ladies~~~
Time to check in :D . Rainy night up here in the UP. Eileen & DH are departing today. I'm still here for a few more days. Have some things to do in the TT. Another option is to head up to Copper Harbor to visit another almost retiree who is up for the weekend.

That's it from me. Have a good day & stay safe wherever you are.

Hello September!!! No rabbits here but I did get reminded why I was working again, it was a pleasant surprise! Payday isn't until Tuesday but guess since Monday is a holiday they did the deposit yesterday. Will send off some bills today and do a little shopping. Tidying up in here and out in the yard will keep me busy. I do plan on getting the motorhome out on the road just to circulate fluids, was thinking a trip to the carwash would be nice.
Y'all have a great day, be safe.

Good Morning,
Just a quiet weekend at home. Hopefully this will be the last heavy ocean city traffic weekend. Thought the rain last night would cool things down a bit but no luck. I guess with this strange weather I will be pulling summer weeds with earmuffs and mittens. :D Safe travels

Happy September! I actually said rabbits at midnight!

Nothing exciting here this weekend. Hopefully the store will be busy. It's kind of the last hurrah!

I woke up with a headache so not moving very fast. Probably need to get some coffee, that might help. There are 2 farmers markets in the area that I thought about going to but probably won't. The parking for these two is hard to find. The farmers markets around here have more baked goods and junk than produce. I would end up buying sweet dough pies which I don't need.

We are going to have a wet weekend. I heard it raining earlier. Two and a half weeks until our Texas trip. So ready to go somewhere. I passed by the Lafayette college football stadium yesterday and people were setting up for tailgating. They are going to have a hot weekend. Most of the rigs had big fans under the awnings.

I think I said Rabbits first thing, but could have 'spoke' to Mitzi before I was fully awake. DH left with Emma at 5:45 thid morning to go to Evansville, IN to a practice obedience trial. He isn't good at following driving irections but guess they made it on time as I got a picture of her in the ring. Summer is making a return here and I would much rather it stayed away!!
Have a good day and an adventurous, enjoyable month ahead.

Today is the first fall market day in the Village, so it's a little busier at Twice Nice shop today. It'll be awhile, but I'm looking forward to some cooler fall weather so I can start hiking again. Right now I am suffering from a heel spur and it's painful to walk, but I have an appointment with a podiatrist on Tuesday. Hopefully a cortisone shot and wearing my Merrills with insert will help get that healed. Had the same problem years ago and that was the solution that time.

Thinking of you and Mel, Velda. Praying for you daily.

Good morning gals! I think I said something to Emily before I said Rabbits right after midnight. Darn!

My house is getting power washed right now. Cats are freaking out. These guys are definitely professionals compared to the last guy who did it. Should look really nice when it's done!

Our Labor Day picnic is this evening here at the park. I made a big batch of tuna salad to bring. Last time I didn't bring anything and the stuff other people brought wasn't anything to brag about and there wasn't much to pick from so I figured I better contribute this time.

Will work on cleaning up the master today. And pay some bills.

My new roommate is already bringing over her gardening supplies. I am anxious to start working on the yard with her. Will be nice to have help with that.

Have a good day, a good Labor Day weekend and a good new month! :D

Good morning. It is gorgeous outside right now 63° and clear skies. We had a breeze from the west blowing the smoke out of the valley. We had another fire start up by Grants Pass BUT they got right on it with air support, 3 helicopters and the retardant on the way. Closed one lane on the freeway but this morning news is they have a perimeter and will get the fire contained later today hopefully, and no wind yet today, so thankful.

Will finish up my painting project and then power wash all the ash off my carport and patio. Have some housekeeping duties to do also but better left for when it heats up in the afternoon. High today only 84° predicted so not too bad but then the 90's oh well I will enjoy it while I can. Hoping we have good weather the first week of October for the Pow Wow and camping excursion...fun fun fun.

Another miracle happened last night. I got up to go to the bathroom and remembered to say RABBITS....so looking forward to an awesome month. LOL I am excited about Fall. My favorite time of year.

Sending good thoughts to Velda. Hope your roommate works out for you Barbie. I dont think at this stage of the game I could have a roommate. I am pretty set in my solitary ways LOL

I kind of like having the company of someone else around. It will be different tho with me being the homeowner and having a renter rather than the other way around. I get to call the shots, lol!

Speaking of being in charge, I seem to have taken on the roll as fill-in manager at work. The new gals all look to me to take care of things and deal with problems at the shop when the manager isn't there. I am busy with lots of problem solving and taking care of things that they need to learn to do (which I am telling them they need to deal with themselves). I get a little frustrated with having to do that stuff altho I kind of feel flattered that they look up to me. I came in the shop the other afternoon and there was only 8 one dollar bills left in the til. No one thought to go to the bank all day to get a change order, not even the stylists who have been there for years. So I had to send one of them to the bank before they closed. Anyways, enough rant... it is a good job and I like it there. It is probably a good thing I am not the boss because I think I would be a very tough boss and no one would like me!

I forgot rabbits! Too preoccupied with saying good morning to the dog. Then he ran next door to see if the kids would play ball, so I ambled along to say hi. It made a pleasant morning -- but coffee came late!

I whispered Rabbits a little before 4:00, when I got up, as I didn't want to disturb Steve. And when I woke him at 6:30, I forgot to shout it, so I hope the whisper will help.

We just got back from a funeral for Steve's last uncle. His immediate family disowned him when he went into trucking, but his aunt and cousin appreciated that we made the long trip, almost 100 miles, one way. Now I need to change my clothes and practice for church.

Good morning!
Hard to believe its September already.
I never remember to say 'rabbits' - maybe I'll have a miracle some day too.

DS & family went camping for the weekend so Sadie & I stayed over there last night with their pups. Came back home at 5:30 this morning to run the End of Month process for work. Got laundry done & ran to the farmer's market already. Kids from San Diego are coming up & will stay at DS's house for the remainder of the weekend so we'll spend some time together.

I do have some news - I've sold the travelin' van. I had taken it to a consignment place just to see what would happen & was leaving it in God's hands if it sold or not. Maintenance costs were mounting, I had to keep it in storage & I hadn't used it much in the last 3 years. So I was ok with letting it go when they called with a buyer. I'm already in the market for something that I can keep here at my complex - something I can use for traveling & camping/sleeping in once in a while. I never did use all the features the van had so simplifying is probably better than continue putting $$ into it. Heck, I'll probaby even be ok with mountains if I'm in something a little smaller. Hope you all will still touch base whenever you're in the area for GTGs.

Velda, keeping you & Mel in my prayers.

Hope everyone stays safe & enjoys the coming fall. :)
Take care,
Catherine

Congrats on the sale, Catherine! You're reasoning makes total sense to me. Now take your time and find its smaller vision for new adventures.
