Another Tuesday already

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Another Tuesday already

Postby BirdbyBird » Tue Aug 28, 2018 12:08 pm

Just got back from picking up milk and a few supplies needed for the 5 Day Lexington Dog Show. Dog is mostly groomed and ready for his bath tomorrow morning before we head off. Hoping to get one of the few non-reserved grooming spaces since all the reserved were spoken for several weeks ago. If not I will groom in the rig and just come in when it is time to show. Means that I won't be over at the campground but boondocking outside the show arena. Thankful for both my solar and my generator options. I just need to remember to go in with a full tank of gas then not worry.

Josef's other mother Cindy drove down yesterday and visited while we tag teamed poor Josef in the grooming department. It is tricky enough trimming his feathered area with one person to hold him in a stack while the other stands back eyes the angles and trims with the scissors quickly before he twitches.

I will be glad to be showing inside this weekend with the predicted return to warmer temperatures.

Everyone take care out there in forum land....... Remember posts don't have to be exciting. Sometimes just being present in your moments is an accomplishment.

Tina, good luck with the next show!

Lyn, so sorry to hear about your GGDs accident! Hope there is no permanent damage! Poor thing! :( Glad your daughter is doing so well with her artificial leg now! When/where is your next camping trip?

The weather has been very nice here with much lower humidity. I just use a fan at night now.

I have been ordering things online for the bathroom in pale yellow but they arrive in a super bright yellow which won't work. Will have to just shop at the stores for those things instead (towels, curtain, etc.). Funny, the teal things I have ordered have been the perfect shade which you would think would be much harder to match than yellow since there are so many variations of "teal".

Another day off. I haven't heard anything from the dog walking service yet so I am just going to put that all on hold for now. Maybe in the fall I will check with a different company that is more established with clients.

Hope you all have a good day! :D

Lyn, I think we can all agree that knowing the day or date has never been a real requirement for many of us anymore. But we woke up and were still able to move. Life is good!

Lyn, I thought maybe you were talking about me saying last Friday was the last Friday of the month! LOL! It's so much fun being retired and not knowing what day of the week or month it is. As long as I make to church on Sunday's, I seem to be okay and the congregation appreciates it. I'm so sorry to hear about the ggd's accident and hope she recovers quickly. Also glad to hear your daughter is progressing as well as she is.

Tina, good luck at the dog show.

Barbie, I can't wait to hear about the results of all the work you're doing on your house. You must be so excited!

Steve & I will be leaving the campground tomorrow after giving ourselves a week vacation from the house. We visited with friends that we see maybe once a year and have had a wonderful visit with them. When we return to the house, yard work will need to be done, a visit to the post office will be necessary and it's about time to order another half bushel of steamed crabs.

Barbie, I also had the same problems finding yellow towels. Try Bed Bath and Beyond. They have several online. I checked and they no longer have the ones I bought a year or so ago. Sunny yellow instead of gold is a really hard color to find for some reason.

Sitting in a parking lot getting some cell service for my internet hot spot. This is the worst place I have been in a long time for cell service. It is only decent after 11 pm so I end up doing a lot of things very late at night and then sleeping in. Leaving on Saturday for Bullards Beach, so should be better there.

Sorry to hear about the hot coffee. Is she still in the hospital or did they send her home?

Judy, I just got my order of towels this morning from BB&B and they are also too bright yellow. Will be making a trip to the local store to return them.

I lowered the mirror in the bathroom a few inches and it looks better now. Hard to tell where it should go initially when it is heavy and you are by yourself. After looking at it for a day, I decided it was a bit too high and was an easy fix to lower it myself. Bryan will be back on Thursday with his dad to finish up the plumbing.

One more coat of teal and that will be done. It is getting there! :D

normally I go to the oldest post first ie what ever post was before Tuesday already didn't today so need to go see what happened to Lyn's daughter.. Yellow is such a hard color to get right perhaps white would work for the curtains and towels...at least until you can find the right ones...
it's cooled off enough that heat sounds good so thought soup for supper hmm the stove didn't come on...here the propane is hooked up to a bigger tank so possibly out of propane but to dark to check will have to look tomorrow if it is might get son in law to unhook it and rehook up my rv tank tonight we will use the little buddy but sure wanted hot food could have gone back up to the house and cook something there but was down here and it is dark ...that is my story and I am sticking to it
because of the trenches that have been dug all over we have had to park in the back so the other day I was sitting in the truck and thought is the ladder bent ??? sure looks it gs checked and yes it is so something else I have to have taken care of last person up that I am aware of was the mobile rv repair guy he is slight enough that he wouldn't have been able to bend it but his attendant could have sure wish I had noticed it then...if that is in fact when it happened. had another grandson go up as far as he safely could to see if the panels were all there...so glad to hear that they were.
finally got my carpet vacuumed kitchen area swept tomorrow laundry will have to be done and perhaps find the hedgehogs...

Sheila, you have hedgehogs??

Got the last coat of paint on finally and took off all the tape. Looks really good. Just need a few spots touched up and then clean up the bedroom and bathroom. I returned those towels to BB&B and found some lighter yellow ones at Walmart.

Good night!
