Finally, Sunny Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Finally, Sunny Thursday

Good morning! It’s going to be a dry and sunny day today and supposedly for the next few days. And the temps are more fall like. It was in the 50’s last night. This is fair week so won’t get much done around here. I missed a couple of days because of rain. The parking lots turn into mud pits and getting stuck isn’t my idea of fun! We had a couple of rain showers come through yesterday but we stayed nice and dry in the tent! Between going out to the fair and home I’m trying to figure out Windows 10. I had to upgrade my computer and had Best Buy transfer my info to the new one and I can’t figure out where everything is hidden. I know it’s there but where I don’t yet know! It’s going to take some time to figure it out, I guess! I think I finally have the printer talking to my devices which is good since I need to renew my car’s registration and have to print it out. Something new PA started a couple of years ago. Used to be I could renew it online and they sent a hard copy but as a cost cutting move you have to print it yourself. Not bad if everything is working!

Sounding like everyone is busy either traveling or doing things at home. End of summer always seems like a busy time. Looking forward to a couple of days in elk country next month. So hope everyone has a great day and you get to do something fun. I’m going to head out to the fair and tick off some more fair food from my list! Usually get one goodie a day that I don’t normally eat! Such decisions!

We don't have fairs around here, just carnivals. The last few times I got food at one of the carnivals or festivals I didn't like it. Probably a good thing. The state fair is in Shreveport which is in North Louisiana.

I need to go to the feed store and get a new float for one of the troughs at the barn. I noticed the neighbor had moved his cow and when I was mowing at the barn the water trough was half full. The float is broken. He could have told me that it was broken. My rule is a water trough has to be all the way full or empty. I don't want a cat falling in one.

I love going to fairs! We had the San Diego County fair in June (goes for 4 weeks!). The Minnesota State Fair starts today I believe and goes until Labor Day. I love the food too but it is so darn expensive! I like to shop for gadgets, earrings, t-shirts, etc. Unique things I can't find anywhere else.

I fogged the porch yesterday so that should be flea-free now. Haven't seen any fleas for several days now so am keeping my fingers crossed! Will probably do another fogger in the next week to make sure there are no leftovers or newly hatched ones lurking.

Not feeling very energetic this morning. I need to eat some breakfast. Then need to work on some projects before heading to work later this afternoon.

Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

The cooler weather here in Ohio seems to have inspired me. I have weeded several outside areas to free the Day Lilies. I sorted through my dog towels and bedding and took two large armfuls over to the Shelter. There really is a limit to how many duplicates the dogs need of those things, especially when I keep going to Thrift Stores and finding finds.

The change in the weather also created a pause in the universe where I could hear the Hornbeck calling out from the front porch. “I want water!” I started putting paddles and equipment in the Honda when I decided to measure once again to see if the kayak would fit in the Chrysler Town and Country. I was more persists this time and figured out that, yes, it would fit if I tilt the passenger seat back. There was that removing of two dog crates, but that is still easier than the loading on top of the car and the wrapping of the tie downs, etc. Well after all that I rested but the van is ready to find the lake tomorrow.

I can only handle crossing off so many activities in one day...

We've got a 2 day break in the humidity here - it has been awful (like mostly 85%) down to 50 % today.
I've done a little work on antique business but that's about it. Have several things ready to put out for sale if the printer will cooperate - need to do the tags.
Enjoy you water adventure Tina
