Teal Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Teal Tuesday

I was planning on painting the teal color today in the master, but I am having a lot of shoulder pain that started last night. I think I will start on it tho with just painting the grooves in the paneling. I have a hard time getting paint in those vertical grooves with a roller so I decided to take a small paint brush and just paint the grooves first and then roll the paint on the rest later. Also need to paint the frame on the new mirror today and do some clean-up in the bathroom. Other than that, I will try to take it easy on my shoulder today.

All is quiet on the creek behind my house today. :D

Looks like my bird feeder is empty so will have to fill that up too. Good day for small, easy projects.

Hope you all have a good, productive day! :D

Had a doctor appt today so I had to go out in the bad smoke. It is pretty darn thick here today and supposed to be all week. We not only have our fires, the fires to the south in Redding, we now have a northerly flow bringing us Canadian and Washington fires. My doc listened to my lungs and said they were clear........well not for long I bet.

Went out to lunch with Malia yesterday and it was not nearly this bad in the morning when we left. When we came out it was starting to smell smoky and get thicker so really glad we went out yesterday.

I thought I would come home and finish painting my doors but I am not going out in that any longer than I have to, so they will keep uintil this clears up a bit.

So sad about all the fires. And fire season goes until late fall when the rainy/snow season starts. Long way to go yet!

Got most of the mirror frame painted and it looks really nice so far. I couldn't get a small can of gold metallic paint so I ended up with spray paint and I am spraying that into a bowl and then brushing it on that way since the mirror is too heavy to haul outside to spray paint it. I am using the tips of the paint brush to do a textured look. Looks more antiquey (is that a word?).
About half done on painting the grooves in the paneling.

I picked up some Bar Keepers Friend and tried that on the stains on the counter but it didn't work. Will try bleach next.
