Sunny Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Sunday

Good morning! After a terrible couple of days of heavy rain we finally had a nice day yesterday and today is supposed to be nice too. We were lucky Friday with the amount of rain we got. We seemed to be on the edge again. My kids in Bellefonte had lots of rain. Oldest son had flooding in their basement. Roads were closed all over the place. One of those days where it was better to just stay home. My friend and I met up yesterday and went shopping at the farmers market and then decided to head across the valley to our favorite Amish market for some fresh produce. And then of course lunch out too! We always have a good time visiting with each other. One of those days where we just needed to get out and commiserate with each other! Today is, I hope, work n the yard! Think the backyard is going to be dry enough to mow! Need to get out soon before it gets hot! Supposed to be in the high 80’s today! I want to freeze some of the fruit I got yesterday so will work on that this afternoon when I can’t be outside! Heard from my sister last night and she said where they are east of Denver they couldn’t see the mountains at all from all the smoke in the air. Thinking about those of you out west and hope everyone is safe. Velda, sending good thoughts to you and Mel. Barbie, need pics of your new grass!! Tina, have a good show day! Beth, sounds like Sturgis is running its course. Think I remember that last year you mentioned it wasn’t what it’s been in the past.

So that’s about enough of my blabbing today! Time to go get busy in the yard! Hope you all have a great day and find something fun to do today!

Good morning :-)
Irmi,,,, I didnt know you had family east of Denver, I'm from there, spent half the summer last year in Strasburg. I miss going there this year, but thats life.
Took a little time to do some preventative maintenance on my car this morning,, check oil, add a qt, clean off battery terminals and check water in cells. Getting into my one storage bay to get the qt
of oil, i discovered it was all wet in there. Theres no water lines on that side so figurd ig was thd rainstofm, could be but most likely condensation from the gallon of window was fluid that got decompressed and leaked half a gal out. Took my two tubs out , cleaned it all up and left i open to dry. I'm also wondering if my seal us not sealing properly, it looks a little wonky. That one rainstorm was a pretty good drenching.
It is still incredibly hot these days but we do enjoy early morning walks as soon as its light but beford the sun comes up. I really enjoy seeing the two girls running together like sisters. They both have good recall so its nice to be able to let them off leash, as some places its just not safe to do that.
I hate this having to be back to work every monday but I keep reminding myself its for the payday.
It will not be hard to say goodbye the next time. But uncle sam wants my money and i need a differang vehicle.
Ok, enough from me, ya"ll have good day, sorry if i missed any important days of anybody not on fb.

It's sunny here right now but we have a 60% chance of rain. It seems like almost every afternoon we have storms that pop up.

I don't know what I'll do today. I was just messing around in Lafayette yesterday. Wish I had remembered that I need printer ink at Office Depot. My printer needs 5 different cartridges. It's a little cheaper to buy the box with all the cartridges but now it comes with a pack of 4" X 6" photo paper. When is the last time anyone printed photos? I'm sure my printer would if I could figure out how to set it.

Ava, I hope your school year goes well. I don't envy you driving the bus. I think school starts this week here. It seems to get earlier every year.

Good Morning, Yes, sunny and warm here on the left coast! Benji and I are experts at walking on the shady side of the street when we do our walks. Going over to see the daughter today, only for the reason to drive the other daughters car to keep the battery up. It, the car, will be sitting now until she gets home on the 18th. I hope the battery does not die during this time. She has one of those cars that uses the gasoline to start, then drives on the electric batteries.

I'm doing last minute chores as I'm leaving Wednesday. So looking forward to the vacation. Is it a vacation is one is retired? It's a vacation from this town to another town anyway!

The daughter with the new leg is going camping with us....Is she excited or what!!!

Good morning gals!

Lyn, am glad to hear your daughter is going camping with you! She sounds like she is really adjusting well with her new leg and situation. Good for her!

Ava, so glad to hear your dogs are getting along so well! Great for both to have a friend to play with!

Yes, school starts next week out here and we are geared up and staffed for a busy week ahead.

The dog walking company I work for has a new store in San Marcos. They are a spin-off from PetCo called PetCoach. They are having a grand opening today and we walkers are invited to be there to meet the other walkers and see the place. I actually stopped in there the other day since it is close to my doctors office. It is really nice, it is similar to PetCo but is mostly geared towards just cat and dog owners and offers vet care, day care, self-serve dog washing , etc. They offer a $9 per month membership with lots of discounts and perks for being a member. I want to go today so I can find out how to set up my dog walking availability right on the app. I am sure I am doing it wrong. It is very confusing!

I found a few uneven spots on the area I want to put down the grass so I need to fill those in a little. I just remembered there are a couple piles of sand on the other side of the house that the squirrels dug out that I can use for fill.

I also decided that I need help painting the master bed/bath so my regular handyman is gonna help me in the next week or so with that. I need to get that room done ASAP so I can get moved in there and get the guest room and bath ready for my new roommate at the end of the month.

Hope you all have a great day!

Just got home. Took the 78 freeway east to San Marcos just after noon when the traffic came to a crawl. Turns out the freeway was shut down westbound due to a fatal car crash at 2:30 am and they were reconstructing the accident scene 10 hours later! I saw the three cars involved and they were all totaled. One 33 year old woman was killed. Sounds like alcohol was possibly involved with a couple of the drivers. It was also foggy overnight so that probably didn't help any. Always sad to see stuff like that.

Got some help with the dog walking app and I was doing it wrong so now it is fixed! Hopefully I will start getting requests now. When I left there, I had to find back roads home since the freeway was still shut down and traffic was backed up for miles.
Then I noticed some smoke to the north. I guess there is a large brush fire at Camp Pendleton.

Hot and sticky again today with the forecast saying the same for the next week or so. Ugh!

There is a very good reason people don't print photos. Including a pack of photo paper with ink cartridges is, IMO, a scam and a come-on. Printing photos drinks ink like you wouldn't believe. Depending on your machine, you print two or three photos, you will be out of $$ink$$ again.

Anne, I didn't realize that's what they are up to, trying to get us to use more ink. lol I think they should give printers away because ink costs so much.

I've been buying my generic cartridges from https://www.inkjetsrus.net/ for close to twenty years. Never had a bit of trouble with them. I have an Epson printer.
