Aug. 1st - Rabbits Roll Call

Talking about backing up things, I'll tell you the mess I have. My son that passed away did everything on his computer and the only paper work he kept was from the VA. No one knew his passwords and I can't access his computer. I don't know if he has a bank account, owes any bills or has filed his 2017 income tax return. The lawyer has one of his computers and I don't think he is making much headway getting into it. If you think that your family will need the information on your computer you should leave your passwords somewhere.

Good Evening, I forgot Rabbits and my day certainly didn't go well. Poor Mitzi, I gave her a bath then cut her toenails which is always a struggle. DH was holding her but on the last foot she jerked just as I cut and I still haven't got the bleeding completely stopped o one toe. It stops for awhile then then she starts licking it and it starts again. I packed it with flour and that slowed it down but guess I'm going to have to bandage it somehow to keep her from licking.

For those waiting for your new Medicare care just be sure and read the whole letter before you destroy your old card!!!!! The first paragraph says to destroy the old card, the next says to keep it if you have a certain kind of coverage. I haven't used the new card yet the Clinic I go to still wants the old card. So now guess I just have an extra card to carry around.

Hotess time of the year finds me in Vegas...not good planning right...not sure when I will go back up north need to be in SLC on Tues to house set for my youngest..they are going to Boston I think and her husband is running in some race not the Boston Marathon though...so house/cat sitting then I need to get home as my plant sitter (granddaughter) and her family are going to WA for a wedding she told me today that they aren't doing too well I shouldn't have planted out door plants this year it was late and I knew I was coming down here.
the biggest issue I have had is my mail forwarding sent word on the 26 saying she was closing on the 31 I think and recommended such and such and the mail will be sent back to sender so there is my Pass card that is in renewal process and now the medicare card. have heard that Madison post office will hold but for a short time so trying to decide do I go with who Terri recommended or do I go with the one that the insurance company recommended ...one is higher per year said they were lower county for license plates than the other they had wrong information so still trying to decide one asks for 100 for postage money that will last me a long time just have to make up my mind ...frustrating really cause I hate change!!!

I said rabbits at midnight last night and think it was the first thing I said though I had been chatting with Mandy cat at the time! We spent a busy day, with a trip to oncologist to just check in. He renewed Mel's pain medicine and tested and qualified him for supplemental oxygen as needed for shortness of breath. Dr still has his eyes and feelers out in case a new treatment comes up, but for most part he advises we do anything Mel wants to do as the end approaches at a unknown time ahead. We went from there to the cannabis clinic to pick up what is called FECO ( full extraction cannabis oil) which has proven very helpful for Mel for sleep and pain relief as well as lifting mood. FECO is much more effective than the CBD sold in various places because FECO is derived from cannabis where most CBD , make that any sold out side I'd cannabis places, is made from hemp and contains no THC- the part that makes you high to greater or lesser degrees depending on strain of plant used and concentration. Anyhow I had bought a bottle of 18:1 (18 CBD to 1 THC ) for him last time we were there and turned out it was very effective. So bought more plus some 1:1.
Came home and made spaghetti sauce at Mel's request to serve with Miracle Noodles, made from Glucomanan, but when I served it he was too nauseated to eat as he often is when pain is high. I used a low carb sauce by a company called Rao and it was pretty good. at least he had drunk the super shake I made for his breakfast.
Chris and I have dental checks today. And I have paperwork to redo for Chris issues, but other than a nurse visit on Friday, that's our week. One day I'm going to learn to post photos here.
I sure appreciate Beth's efforts for us.
