Monday, Monday...

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, Monday...

Postby BarbaraRose » Mon Jul 23, 2018 11:55 am

Good morning ladies!

Just getting ready to head down to San Diego for my new dog walker training class! It doesn't start until 4pm but I want to get down there early so I don't have to deal with rush hour traffic later this afternoon. Will spend a few hours walking around Seaport Village before going to the class not too far from there.

Looks like another very warm day here, and then pushing 100 by midweek.

Have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Guess I will just have to continue hibernating for a while. We still have many active fires.

Barbie, I admire you for doing something else besides your hair cutting job. Not many people do that anymore. When I was working, for 20 years, I worked 100 hours a week so we could live our dream, as did Steve. I commend you for your spunk and you are also living your dream, being in California.

We've had lots of rain in MD, 4" Saturday and another inch yesterday. We have more rain in the forecast through at least Wednesday, not that we need it. Fortunately, other parts of MD are getting the rain today, giving us a reprieve.

Between the fires, heat and rains, it seems like lots of us are having our weather woes. Please care everyone.

Lol about Karen posting a picture.

And, Barbie, that's a great 2nd job. I'm sure lots of people will be more interested knowing that there's even been training involved.

Well, I told my boss today that I won't be returning next year. I rarely see much emotion on his face, but he was definitely surprised and not happy. He understands though. I want my workamp jobs to be fun and this one just isn't anymore. At least it still has enough moments. Time for a change.

UFSG...."you're for sure a gonner!" (is that close to what that stands for?)

The training went well and it sounds like it will be a fun job. There is an app that clients can use to look for a walker and we use that app to let the company know when we are available. Then we are sent walker openings and can pick and choose which ones we want to accept. We get paid 80% commission, so a 1/2 hour walk would pay me about $14.40. We use the app to let the client know when we arrive at their house and enter notes about how the walk went along with a photo or two while out on the walk and if/when they pooped/peed, and any issues that we may have had. They also can keep track of where we are with a GPS tracker.

My ants seem to be gone today so that makes me happy! I get my kitchen back! Yay!

Anne

Not that close. They are all around us tho. We need a good breeze to blow the smoke over the mountains and out of the valley.
