Last Sunday in June

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Sunday in June

Postby Liz » Sun Jun 24, 2018 8:49 am

Good Sunday morning! My last Sunday as a single lady...can't wait. I'm on the way home from a weeklong Caribbean cruise with daughters and families. Beautiful weather and some fun n activities, it glad to be headed back to my quiet community. I think I may have a buyer for my mobile home. Bob showed it to a man while on a tour and he is filling out paperwork the Village requires, and will be back this week. Hope everyone is enjoying some summer fun today.

Good Morning from rainy SD. Liz, that is excellent news re this possible sale. I hope it goes through smoothly! And. Oh my goodness! The wedding day is fast approaching. I'm so excited and happy for the two of you.

I'm still curled up under my covers and don't see any reason to rush out of bed.

Gmorning Liz, Beth & all to follow :)

Wow, yes, Liz, & you just had your last trip as a single lady! The excitement of marriage is noted! Sale of house & all:) Beth, I think I hear what you're saying about not needing to get out of bed early? :(

A cool & rainy weekend here, but I have been able to get in daily walks with my two. I say it's for the pups, but I need it more than them--put on weight this past winter/year, ugh! I'm also giving my riding mower a rest, going back to all walking mower which gives me a good 2 hrs of exercise. Used to power straight through, but now I do need breaks, old age is so fun...

Nothing new in my routine--yard work, yard work, yard work & occasionally a bit of housecleaning:) Y'all have a great day 8-)

Good morning!
Liz, so happy for you. You continue to be an inspiration to everyone to go with God's flow & everything He deems appropriate will fall into place. I'm sure He's smiling on both you & Bob. :D
Carolb, I feel the same way about Sadie's walks - she forces me out so many times a day which I know I wouldn't do if I didn't have her. I especially love the super early morning walks before work - the birds are just waking up, the air is cool & everything is so peaceful.
Donna, sorry about your back. Hope it eases up a bit so you can continue doing whatever you'd like to do.
Barb, I, too, believe our loved ones journey with us. I knew you'd enjoy Julian, the kids certainly do - but curvy, winding roads @ 55mph - yikes!
Martha, 2 (40 pounds) of cat food! :o That's a lot!
Othersharon, sounds like you're just about set to be on the road again - hooray for you!

I enjoyed watching the Mexico/S Korea game yesterday morning at my son's. Always more fun in a group especially when your team wins! Getting ready for our big trip now - leaving Saturday - a little apprehensive about the long flights, but will get up & walk around frequently. Excited for a new adventure though especially having Olivia with us.

Well, I'd better get busy.
Take care & have fun!

How exciting, Liz! You know we will demand photos of you and the groom, so make sure you post some.

I am leaving Grizzly RV park this morning and meeting my kids in Yellowstone. I spent yesterday here catching up with my blog and some school things, doing laundry, and then washing the bugs off the front part of my RV. One nice thing about this campground is that they DO let you wash your vehicle at your site. I'll be spending the night at campgrounds inside the park and then meeting them each morning at the Canyon Lodge and then Old Faithful Lodge. They will be here five nights. Also, I am keeping the middle child, a 10-year-old girl, tonight and another child the next two nights. My son has dinner reservations for us all each night and has planned a tour of some sort and a stagecoach ride. They rented a minivan after flying in to Denver, so there will be room for me and all five of them. This is their big vacation for the year.

Got three mosquito bites yesterday, and so far they have not been going into the usual nickle-sized, red and infected mode. (I've been taking some Bendryl to help.) It will be sunny today and all week, so hope the worst is over.

How are you doing Anne??

I probably need the exercise but doing my mowing with a push mower would just about do me in. Some days it's hard to just walk up the hill. I went out to pick up the paper and get something out of the car and I'm still sweating. It's 90 but the humidity is probably 100%.

I buy cat food at the feed store so that's why they are 40 pounds. I put one in the old house and one in the barn to keep from having to haul food around. Two cats stay at the barn and the rest mostly lay around on the old car port. I think I'm going to have to start getting smaller bags because my back talks to me when I pick up the big bags. I had to quit buying cat litter at Sam's for the same reason.

I don't know what I'll do the rest of the day. I thought about going to Lowe's in Lafayette to get the water filter cartridges I need for the filter under my sink. I think that can wait until I have to go to Lafayette anyway.

I’ll be spending my last night tonight at Valley of the Rogue SP in south central Oregon and will head over to the coast tomorrow to Bullard’s Beach near Bandon to meet up with Karen and Laura. I’m really looking forward to seeing both again. This will be my first time on the Oregon coast so looking forward to that too. Safe travels to all on the road and those of you at home, don’t work too hard on that housecleaning and/or mowing. “ A soft chair and a good book always takes precedence for me.

Good afternoon. Laura and I went shopping in Roseburg this morning. Needed to get some food and drinks for the coast. I am so looking forward to getting a good seafood meal or two there. The town of Bandon has some really cute shops too so will be fun to kick around there.

We will be leaving in the morning and head to the Mill Casino in Coos Bay and have some lunch as they have great parking for RV's and pretty good food in their deli. Checkout isnt until 1pm at the state park and they say check in at 4pm BUT they often let you in early if your space is vacant so we intend to just mosey over there. Bandon is about 30 minutes from the Casino. Looking forward to hooking up with Sandi and catching up on all the news.

We will miss Anne for sure hope you are doing okay now Ms Anne

The Bandon Bakery is incredible, but get there before everything is sold out.

Also, next to or a store or two down from the bakery is a bookstore which has a lot of books, but also a lot of little things for stocking stuffers. I bought a bunch last fall and put them in little stockings for some adults. And don't forget to walk around the harbor and look at all the neat sculptures. Love that town!

Catherine, did I miss something? Where are you going on Saturday??

Worked today. I was looking forward to going to the San Diego County Fair on Tuesday, my next day off. But then I remembered it isn't open on Mondays or Tuesdays. Will have to figure out another day to go. The last day is July 4th but I don't want to go on that day. Will be crazy busy  .

So Tuesday will be a home project day. I need to get going on the master bedroom/bath.

Liz, yes we need lots of pics of your big day! Are you two going on a honeymoon? Maybe a camping trip?
