Wednesday, Wednesday. It’s Wednesday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday, Wednesday. It’s Wednesday!

I am still hanging in Texas (more than a State). Looks like a warm, if not hot day in our forecast, cuz 93* isn’t as hot as 99*! It’s all in your perspective. With cloud cover and a good breeze it was comfortable mowing yesterday afternoon. Hoping for some cloud cover help today to finish the alpaca field. Should start the horse field later. Need it mowed before the 4-5 days we have rain in the forecast. In all my times here, this is the first year that I have made only one trip for shelter from a storm. It’s good and it’s bad! Made a trip into town yesterday to Target nice store. Wal-Mart here is yuck. May go to the Elks for dinner tonight. Wednesday is steak, pork chops or chicken dinner night. Hope you are having fun and being safe on the road. Prayers and blessings for those in need! Now go out there and play a little.

Birdie, what kind of mower are you mowing fields with? I would like something a little bigger than what I have but don't want to have to use the bush-hog. The weather people are excited they have another invest to talk about. Texas and West Louisiana might get a lot of rain. It's overcast this morning so it's only 85 so far.

Waiting on a ride to go pick up my motorhome.

Another beautiful day in WI, supposed to be in the 80's for the next week or so. A little rain would be nice, the rain has been all around us, but keeps missing! I am heading to NC on Friday, not camping just a straight drive down. Going to help Mom sort thru her stuff in anticipation of moving to a Sr. Citizen place in MN. She has been talking about it for some time, we will see if it actually happens. I live in WI, my brother and sister live in MN along with our kids and grandkids. She is the only one in NC and it is a long way to go if something happens.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Wednesday in the Middle

Postby havingfunnow » Wed Jun 13, 2018 11:00 am

Well, darn! Drew hurt his paw/pastern! :( All that running around in the mountains he was fine, and he found something to land on in the local park. Vet's not in today, but we have an appointment for tomorrow.

It seemed to close up fine, but today he was jumping around and it broke open again. The sad thing is that he won't be able to go to parkour class tomorrow, and he loves that! Maybe not even agility on Monday. Poor, poor boy.

On the good news side, Mick's dialysis is doing such a good job that he can have a little potassium in his diet again. Lasagna last night! He is a happy man!

Poor Drew! Hope he heals up soon!

You need to put his picture on your signature with The William. I forgot what he looks like.

Sorry about Drew's paw Louise buy happy that Mick could have lasagna.
Barbie your daughter is beautiful. Is she 17 now?
I had Emma all combed out this morning for 'school' and DH took her for a walk and let her walk through wet weeds!!!! She now has tiny little weed seeds in all that hair around her paws :( :( needless to say I was not happy. At first I thought they were seed ticks but thank goodness just weeds. I had to send her off looking neglected and no telling where they will go today. Wish I could buy Liz's place I think I would like living there, but I don't think I would do well in FL weather.

Going to be a hot one here today with possible 102 and very low humidity so starting to hear nightly reports of grass fires in area. My best friend from my Navy days will be here tonight for a night or two of non stop catching up. Mel is more or less stable for moment though back pain continues, he thinks it's a little less, possibly due to radiation shrinking tumor. Still trying to get a wheelchair from either Medicare or VA, whoever can get it first. Have a good day all.

I think your daughter looks just like you Barbie. Same eyes, nose, mouth, chin. Beautiful girl.

This morning, reading the forum in bed, I got a call that one of the beer delivery companies just stacked product ... Not where it belongs or in the cooler, etc. That's their job and frustrating. But I went on in and organized it. Then called the sales rep who will read them the riot act! To top it off, there were 3 of them! And if I didn't need Gatorade, Pepsi, Starbucks and Mountain Dew, I'd be throwing Pepsi out this year. Crazy year! Luckily Coke is wonderful.

On another note, I'm taking my first long weekend without a dog (this past Thursday was my first night in my rv with a dog, these aren't enjoyable firsts)... Leaving sometime tomorrow morning/early afternoon. I'm going to Theodore Roosevelt National Park in ND. Coming back Sunday. No idea if I'll have a signal there so don't be surprised if I'm silent a few days. Hopefully I'll get over doing this without Peaches and allow myself to enjoy it.

Barbie, I'll pretty much guarantee the fleas have come from the raccoons you've been feeding. Do whatever necessary to keep them out of your yard. The raccoons bring them into the yard, any of your pets that visit the yard will bring them inside. You're going to have a battle to completely rid yourself of them. BTW, I swear by Dawn dish soap to wash animals with fleas.

Good afternoon. Enjoying this weather here this year, not too dang hot............yet. Was 91 here yesterday but only 82 today and cooler this week BUT next week in the 90's. Not to worry as I am heading out in the Motorhome, making my way to Bandon to meet up with the gals.

Had my last Ortho appt today for my fractured elbow. Xrays show good healing. I told him I quit physical therapy and he was just fine with that. It is getting better all the time. Dont have to go back unless things get worse or I reinjure it (NOT going to happen) Still not a lot of strength but getting better every day.

Sorry you are fighting the fleas Barbie, maybe you are right about the dog. Who knows how the little buggers get in your house. I dont have any grass around my house so no fleas here......yet. I do check Emma periodically tho because you never know. Your daughter is beautiful. She looks so happy. I know she is a teenager so looks can be deceiving ha ha

Finally clearing my calendar of all the dang medical visits. Have a bone scan in July and then I am DONE until the end of August.

Beth enjoy your time off. I know you will really miss Peaches. I suspect when you have more time on your hands tho there will be another sweet soul in your life. I call it " when the time is right ".

Birdie, that all sounds like 'work'! Stay cool as you finish your mowing & wait for the rain to come.
Barbie, your daughter is beautiful & I agree she looks like you! It's so good that you & she have some time together each year. Good luck with the fleas. I'm sure that's no fun.
Beth, hoping you enjoy your long weekend adventure. Peaches would want you to.
Karen, good to hear your elbow is getting better. And yes, be sure it doesn't happen again.
Velda, Humidity or not, that's just too hot! Hope someone gets a wheelchair to Mel soon.
Poor Drew, but lucky Mick.

Not much happening here. I've been 'on-call' for jury duty all week. It's crazy how they do it. Call back each day at either noon or 5 depending on what group you've been assigned to find out if you have to 'report' or when to call back in. Makes it a little crazy since you can't plan on doing anything. I'm sending an email to work each morning letting them know my fate for the day. Just watch I'll probably have to report in on Friday. I've got Olivia tomorrow afternoon thru Saturday morning. I take her to her house to sleep & tend to their dogs overnight so if I have to report on Friday, I have to get her up, fed, dressed & to preschool, bring Sadie back to our place & then be at the courthouse by 8 am. Thought I had put those crazy days behind me. :o

Watching a BBC show (on netflix) 'Escape to the Continent' about Brits moving to the 'continent' - Spain, Italy, France, etc. My SIL sent me an email explaining where the different France episodes are especially in relationship to his family. Now I'll watch those segments again with a little more insight & interest. :)

Stay safe everyone & enjoy each moment. :)

Not positive for your area Catherine, but courts in my area generally don’t convene on Fridays. During the trial for my son’s murderers, the court was off every Friday during the 7-weeks. Hopefully it’ll work out that way for you and be no chance of having to report on Friday.
