Saturday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Sat Jun 02, 2018 7:11 am

Good Morning from the sunny north. really cool out there this morning. Low's went into the 40's last night. Nolly is loving it as she likes to sleep out on the deck and hasn't been able to cause of the mosquitos. Last night she was out there for two hours. Happy dog.

Nice to see the posts from everyone yesterday. Looks like you are all keeping busy. Marth, good luck getting the paperwork and whatnot all taken care of. Carolb, you sound busy now that you are back home. Peggy, enjoy your trip with your Trek buddies. That is a beautiful area you are going to. Been there a long time ago. Shelia, sounds little chilly up here way. We had a change in weather here too, from mid to upper 80;s down into the 60's, which is fine by me. Actually put the furnace on this morning to take the chill out of the house for a bit. Loving it.

Heading for a funeral a bit later. Neighbor whom I know passed away while vacationing in Hawaii just before Memorial Day. Her husband is Treasurer of our Property Owners Association. Need to make fast stop by Farmers Market on the way. Then home to cut grass again. Trailer is back and all ready to go for the summer. Made a change in reservations for my first trip, from a State Park downstate to one up here. Will be working on finishing up the renovation project this next week and getting it cleaned and ready to roll. Pictures are on my IPad, which at the moment is getting a cracked glass cover replaced, so will post some after I finish everything up. I love the changes.

Time to get moving here. Dishes await in the kitchen, need to think about getting ready to leave in a while etc.... Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning
I have no plans today, it will be hot out around 105, sounds like a tv day and maybe laundry.
Barbie, the park models went in different direction. Some folks simply moved them to a
different park and others were bought out real cheap by a dealer from Tucson. The one next
door to me went to Tucson, it wasnt more than 10 years old and the dealer paid 3,000 for it.
What a bargain for the dealer, he'll set it up in another park and get a good 20,000 or more on
a sale.
Nothing new in my world. Ya'll have a great day.

I am a lurker. Check in frequently but think most of you would find my humdrum life boring. It's drizzling out. Rain is forecast for the day. Which is good as this area has been in a prolonged dry spell with rain going north or south of us. Our weather patterns have been unusual first the winter that wouldn't quit, then cold spring then last week a heat advisory. I have been trying to get my flower gardens and vegetable garden back in shape after 2 summers of insufficient care. We drive an old couple to the grocery store once a week and that is a half day affair and another afternoon is spent at our local food shelf. Filling in with day care when it is needed for our grand daughter also takes up some time. About a month ago she had her tonsils out but is back to her energized bunny self again. We plan to get the Shasta painted this summer, hopefully soon so we can work a couple of camping trips in. Beth my prayers for you and Peaches. My pets have always been my best friends. Today will be indoor day so I might try getting the house in order. Might is the key word here. Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning. Well, I’m a day late for checking in but I did remember to say Rabbits right after midnight Friday morning! I agree with Tina’s post. My name is Pat and I am a lurker. So seldom that I have anything worth writing about that I just don’t post…but I do read almost every day. An example of my exciting life this week. Didn’t do anything on Monday. I worked Tuesday afternoon at the bar for five hours. Wednesday our neighborhood was without water from 8 am to 7 pm because of a water line break. Thursday we were without electricity from 9 until noon. Not much accomplished those two days! Yesterday I baked four dozen kolaches for the Pink Ladies bake sale, I’m not a member of the dart league but I always donate. Then I washed windows….which was a fruitless effort because about 10 minutes after I came in the house a bird flew into the patio doors and crapped all over it  …..then last night we had a wicked storm and they are all dusty with water spots. Storm was so bad that I even put on a bra in case the house blew away and we had to leave….didn’t want to be flopping around! Went to drop my stuff off at the bake sale this morning and there are branches down all over town. Today is city wide rummage sale and there are cars trolling the streets. I'm not going to any of them because I have enough junk of my own. It’s been unseasonably hot for this time of year for last week we’ve been in the mid 90s. Coming home from my sister’s last Sunday afternoon the thermometer on the car read 102. Six weeks ago we had a blizzard. Now, since I have bored you to death...do you see why I don’t post daily?

Rejoicing with all of you who have happy events happening in your life. Sympathizing with those of you who are facing difficult times. Safe travels to those of you on the road. Have a good day.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Afternoon all!

We got so tired of the endless round and round about what to buy for travel, and trying to not go broke now that we're retired. Do we keep the truck and get a camper... and pay for storage for-ev-er. Buy a big van and convert it... and have a big bulky daily driver. Scrape up some cash and buy an old motorhome... and hope it holds together.

Well, we decided, we just traded in the truck on a new Grand Caravan that has those stow and go seats, we'll stow the seats and put down our camping foam pads/sleeping bags, put on a TailVeil when we stop, and take off roaming whenever we please!! We're really happy!

Mickie, you and Mary are going to love your new camper! There's so much you'll be able to do and places to see and the best part is, you can park it in your driveway. Our first motorhome was a 1969 GMC window van. We took out the two back rows of seats, I made curtains for the windows, we had a card table and folding chairs for the inside, in case we needed to eat "in" and our sleeping bags for the night. We were so proud of ourselves to be able to start our camping adventure in our early 20's. With the addition of an Igloo cooler and radio, we were on top of the world! I'm so happy for you two!

Thanks, Irmi! I grew up camping in a VW minivan all over Europe, we had a ball. And while we'd have really liked a nice big RV, it's just too spendy for us, so we're looking forward to the adventure in our little van!!

Maiden voyage next weekend to Chicago to visit our niece and grandniece, then off to Florida for the month of July, woo hoo!!

Ava, that's quite the loss your neighbors took on their house. I suppose tho, it costs quite a lot to move those things to a new location.

Rita, do you still have your newer travel trailer in Arizona yet? Do you get down there much?

Am waiting for my shop manager and her kids to stop by. They are cat sitting for me next week so they are coming by to meet the kitties and get their instructions.

The neighborhood band is playing in the party room tonight so I might stop by there and check it out.

Tomorrow is a 9 hour day at work for me. I am filling in some extra hours for a co-worker. I need to hours and tips tho.

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Pat, I laughed all the way through your post. You have a way with words.

Mickie. Cool! Those tailveils are very neat. I hope this works out great for the two of you!

Rita, it's great to hear from you and Peaches and I thank you for the prayers.

I always enjoy reading whatever anyone has to say you may think it boring but it truly isn't ...especially as Beth says Pat you have a way with words...so many say since they no longer have a RV feel funny posting I still enjoy hearing from them as it isn't the RV we know and enjoy but the person whether they still go camping or not...so post away ok
my daughter and I went to the big city Idaho Falls spent a lot of money at Lowe's for those greedy birds...looked at mattresses I swear I need to get rid of the one I have...ever slept in one that caves in the center that is the way I feel this one does although it doesn't cave in but with it being two (it's a sleep number system with no numbers if it did perhaps I could set them the same) so I feel like I gravitate to the center arm is sore (I'm a side sleeper) and it maybe the pillows as well but something has to change...
had lunch or what you would call that in the middle of the afternoon meal  at Olive Gardens home to sit and work on some stuff and soak off acrylic nails...DD has this system that she is enjoying so I've had acrylic nails since I got here didn't have time to reapply them so will do that tomorrow...
take care
