Grandmother's Tea

Postby AlmostThere » Sat May 09, 2009 8:24 pm

Ok, it's been a while since I've tried posting pictures so here goes.

Yesterday I attended the annual Grandmother's Tea at my GD's school.

I'm sharing a picture of my GD holding hands with Brandon. He is a special needs child in her class who she adores and he adores her back. She always watches out for him. This year when the class was doing the 1 mile run for the President's Fitness program, Amanda ran her mile and then saw the teacher walking around the track with Brandon. She ran over and took his other hand and walked his mile with him. During the walk she told the teacher, "one day Brandon will find a special girl".

The second picture is Amanda on the left with her friend, Myah. They were eating lunch before the program.

Aw, she's beautiful - and how proud you must be of her.

She's adorable. Wish they all stayed this young - mine is seventeen and knows IT ALL.

What a beautiful and unique little girl to feel such compassion for others. She sure has a great start on life in this world. And I LOVE her name----my daughter's name is Amanda, too! You are a lucky Grandma! Great idea to hold a Grandma's tea, too.

Happy travels!

I appreciate all the nice things you've said about my GD. I feel the same way and hope she never changes!
