Afternoon Tea Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Afternoon Tea Monday

Good Afternoon. Past morning here on the east side, so decided Afternoon Tea rather than Morning Coffe was better. At least for those of us in the eastern time zone

Productive morning here already. Dug up the rest of a flowerbed bordering side of my house and took out a lot of webbed roots and a couple growing toward and along my basement wall. Then separated and replanted the Wild Geranium I have growing there, so it will spread through the bed. Took the web by junk out to the dump pile and then grabbed my leaf blower and blew the back yard out. Put two coats of paint on a statue I am going to put back out as it’s been in my shed since I moved here. Now cooking lunch and then off to the lawn tractor for a mowing session in my yard and some of our association property. It’s a cloudy and comfortably cool day here, just a little humid, but perfect for doing this work as going up to 80 by mid week and I have friend who will be camping near here coming up tomorrow. We plan to do some remodeling in my trailer while she’s here. This is also the first day I have seen mosquitos this spring.

Off to lunch here. Have a nice day everyone.

Afternoon here. I have my watering drip system finally leak free. It is rather difficult to get some of the things done I want to do with a fractured elbow. I have minimal strength and pain when I try to use it sooooo it is just Very frustrating. Managed to wash my kitchen floor and do a load of laundry now I am done for the day.

Sandi I just love your new "look". I am sure you are very happy with your choices.

Weather here is pretty good so far. We still need some rain but only a chance predicted. I can do without the thunder and lightning but sure would like some rain.

Karen, I fractured my elbow years ago - tripped over a speed bump in a parking lot. Stupid, right? just wasn't watching. I know how debilitating that can be. Hope it heals quickly. And yep, it can be very painful.

Oh, Karen, that sounds so painful. I hope it heals fast.

My final 3 employees arrived yesterday and today. It's been so easy with so many returning from last year, I hope I can get back into teacher mode Wednesday for the new couple. In a few days I think they'll be ready to take on the world!

Peaches hasn't been doing very well the past week. The meds for her heart and lungs that saved her a couple months ago have kicked her kidney disease into the danger zone. :( And she's got a bacterial infection. So we've added an antibiotic and lessened her dosage (again) of her heart and lung meds. I'm hoping that kicking the infection will be a major change. She's not in any pain. At least not at this point. But she can't afford to lose any more weight!

Sue, your constant work makes me exhausted... I imagine you have a beautiful house and yard.

Karen, I can't even begin to imagine how bad your arm must hurt. Please try to take it easy.

Beth, I'm so sorry Peaches is still having problems and hopes she recovers from this episode, as she has the others. Your are such a good Mom.

Nothing is new here and the rain won't quit. It's not raining at this moment and we may be dry through noontime tomorrow and then it starts again and will continue off and on through next Monday. That's after the ten days of rain we've already had. Stay dry, and well and safe!

So sorry about your elbow Karen. Please take it easy and get well soon.

Beth, I’m also sorry to hear Peaches is ill again. She’s got the best mom and hopefully the change in her meds will improve the situation. Will keep her in my prayers.

Just call mine bedtime news! Our son arrived yesterday for a week visit. Even got to video chat with our grandchildren. Working on a list of tasks to be ready for a military honor ceremony for Mel on Thursday in our front patio. Son and I are serving tritip for sandwiches, salads and cookies. So,nice to have him here. I slept last night 8 1/2 hours-- longest I have slept in over a year !
Have a good week all.
