Las Vegas

Greetings from HOT HOT HOT Las Vegas. Thank heavens for my nice air!!! Our puppy parade was canceled because it is too hot out for our dogs and us humans. Can’t bring the pets into the casino, so, all puppies names have been placed into a can and there will be a drawing for the winners!
Our intertainment last night was excellent. Six kids in family, all musicians . They sang, danced, and swapped musical instruments around amongst themselves. I throughly enjoyed it.
I feel intimidated when in the casino. All the machines going and everyone seems to know what they are doing. I just walk through baffled. I was going to play bingo, but one has to join some club and to join one has to give lots of personal information. I said no thanks
The first two days I had trouble figuring how to get out of the casino. After spending 30 minutes walking around, finally asked a security guard where the door to the out side was! Now I have the floor plan down pat. In and out.
I still have raffle tickets that haven’t won anything yet. Tonight is the last night, so keep your fingers crossed.
The SKP’S do put on a nice rally.
Lyn.

I belong to lots of Players Clubs across the country.... Joining can sometimes give free rv parking, free buffets, etc. It doesn't mean I'll leave them lots of my money.

Glad you're having fun even with the heat. I hope you win something tonight.

Glad you're out & about, Lyn.
I have the same problems with casinos. Mom & Daddy used to go about once a month. They would each take $20 & had a blast. So a year after Daddy died, we decided to take Mom to the casino they had enjoyed so much. Man! She knew exactly where she was going & just hurried off as soon as we arrived - told us she'd meet us at the door when it was time to leave.
A few of us were like lost puppies... what to do... where to go... It was interesting for a while just to watch but I was more than ready to leave when she was done. :D
Hopefully you'll win something tonight - but more important I hope you're having fun!

Lyn, I feel the same way about casinos! So confusing and overwhelming now days. I liked it back in the good ol' days when you threw a couple coins in and pulled the handle and hopefully more coins came out! I have no clue how to use the machines now.

Too bad about the parade but glad you are having fun anyways!

Lyn, I felt the same way about the casino's when I went to Las Vegas. Some had the rolling sidewalks to get you in and I couldn't find the door to get out. I don't like all the noise. We have casino's and I haven't been in years. It use to be cheap to eat there but not any more.

I have been camping all week with Liz, Birdie, Colleen and some other friends. I brought CC with me and it's time for him to go home. He was being good about staying in the camper but now he's trying to run out the door.

I agree with you about casinos. I can’t stand just handing over my money and never winning. I also dislike the cigarette smoke. I won $15 from playing a few pennies or nickels when I was 19 and with my parents in Las Vegas. I took that $15 and bought a beautiful Navajo blanket for my horse. You sure can’t buy that now for $15. Still have it but not my horse. :( I don’t play anymore because the last time I only allowed myself $10 and it was gone in about 5 minutes. They truly are “one-armed bandits.”

Keep having fun Lyn.

Cigeratte smoke not bad. Neither Benji nor I won anything. That is why I do not gamble . Food in the several restaurants very expensive. Did not eat in any restaurant. I did have a coupon for one scoop free ice cream. And I used to like the “one armed bandits “. Now it is just pushing a button.
SKP,s put on an excellent breakfast buffet. Lots of good fresh fruit. I enjoyed that each morning. The dinner last night was excellent also.
I enjoyed visiting with the attendees. SKP’S very friendly! Lyn

I used to like the old slots with cherries, oranges, and bells where you put in your money and pulled the arm. I knew what was going on! I don't understand the new machines and feel like I'm just throwing money in and praying something comes out. I live within two casino under 25 miles and if I do go to one of them which is probably once a year or less, I spend my roll of nickels and call it quits.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

I am now home! It was a nice little get away. I so enjoy staying in the little trailer. Glad I took two days to drive each way. Had to have air both nights I stopped. Stayed in a Passport America park each night. It is good to be home. lyn

The first few times I was introduced to casinos, I played the penny slots and had fun seeing how long I could keep a dollar going playing 1 cent at a time.

The first time I ever went to a casino, about 30 years ago, I had a coin purse with a bunch of nickels. I would sit and feed the machine nickels and after a while it would give me $2.60 back in nickels. About the third time I got the $2.60 back I decided that was enough of that. I don't even know how to play the new machines.
