That is useful. I have to admit that the only time I tried to figure/guess my mileage and gas cost was when we were heading to Alaska. I wanted to be sure that I had enough money to get there and back. Since then most of my trips are by the seat of my pants $$ wise. I know if I spend too much it just means that I will need to sit still more when I get back. It is a blessing that I appreciate since I didn't always have that little slush in my funds. Another thought I have is the same one when someone asks how much someone spends on their dogs and dog shows. I don't claim my dogs as dependents
or as a business. I did keep a tight budge for about two years right before I headed off to Alaska. I spend a lot of money on the dogs....between shows, vet bills, flea and tick meds, dog shows, toys, grooming equipment (Dog Show vendors should come with warnings.) I am not sure I really want to know how much they cost any more, as long as I can afford my insurance, food and the electric stays on. Sort of the same on the cost of driving the RV to my destinations of choice. When the cost of gas goes up, I just sigh and continue filling the tank and know that it means one less something else, but I am not going to not go down the road.
At some point my funds might not allow me to travel, but since I don't know when that will be I figure that I should keep going while my body is still cooperating.
PS....Lyn, you are still my role model.
