Good morning everyone..... well Carolb and I got second big and last project done... this is all for this year... I will have to landscape it with some flowers ...I want to put in a butterfly bush on the corner for sure but that will be later.... I need to think about what else I want to put in there ...but this is it for now I like it ...she likes it... and all the neighbors that walk by like it... what we did was put black mulch all around the front after we tore out the shrubbery we pulled it out with my Roadtrek believe it or not ... and we put down blac plastic and black mulch and I had some ground cover Lily type looking things I can't describe it and we divided those up and we put scallops in the front and every second scallop we planted one of these plants we divided anyway it looks great I don't have a lot of flowers anyway it looks great I don't have a lot of flowers in. yet...I don't have enough words to be able to thank Carol for helping me so much this winter here in Florida... thank you Carol she does not do Facebook but somebody who does can tell her and show her the pictures... sorry no pictures here yet I have not mastered that for some reason that eludes me.... that's about it for here this week is going to be a week of rest minimal work at the most LOL.. keep safe in your travels everyone....

Good Morning Everyone, your place is really looking nice, Donna! Such a nice thing for Carolb to do! She’s a workaholic on wheels in her travels ! Those on the receiving end are so lucky, and I’m so glad you were one of them as your place is looking great!

I’m at my sisters trying to recoup, day after my birthday when I supposedly gained a wee bit more wisdom with age, I was going to mow back area of my place and mower dropped off in a hole I didn’t see, just back wheel. Ole wise one( not) here got off going to push it out and continue on and hurt my back again. Before any of you start applying different adjectives in reference and using my name, ive already said it all !!!! My DD had a special weekend away planned, so I called my sis. She came and got us. Mr P is still not used to her taking him outside  My DD is going to have a fit that she wasn’t informed immediately, but this was a special trip and I just did not want to mess it up for her.

Not wanting my DD to know what stupidity her mother managed after she left me that day, I have not posted here or on FB the many thanks for my birthday greetings!! I had a great day and it was wonderful receiving all the many greetings, some of which were a surprise. It’s the day after when my brain didn’t function properly, and I can’t believe what I thought I was going to do. I’ve always done all this stuff , hopped off going to push it a wee bit ahead and messed up,,,past few years I’ve realized, mind is willing but body is not really capable now, so have saved myself injury, I was just feeling so good about everything, didn’t realize in that minute my brain had stopped

So now those of you here know why I haven’t shown any appreciation for your birthday greetings, it’s bothered me a lot as they all made my day really fabulous!!, thank you all!!!!!!

Safe travels, take care if you’re on the roads,
CArol

Good afternoon here. Just finished lunch after going to mass and the Mwijer for a few groceries. Stew is in the slow cooker and jello in the fridge, so all done cooking for the day. Now to do some woodcraft work.

CArol, glad you enjoyed your birthday and sounds like you had a great day. I hear ya on the pushing mower out of hole thing. Have done my share of that. Sorry you hurt your back though. Going to be time to start thinking of summer travels pretty soon. Am hoping you. Hoping maybe MI might be in your travel plans this year. PM me your email address when you get a. Hence.

Donna, sounds like you are really making progress at your place, thanks to Carolb. She is a wonderful helper. Now, I just need for her to take a detour this way in her way home as I have two, possibly 3 sections of splitvrail fence with some landscaping to install  That is, if winter weather ver leaves

Well, heading for the kitchen table and my sign project. Have a nice afternoon and evening everyone. Stay safe.

Got my taxes done, my slides fixed, and some of my new class updated, which is all good. Also, yesterday, I borrowed my daughter-in-law's car and checked out a storage lot for the weeks when I am going to be in the UK. I also bought a couple of new rugs for my hallway and bath at Target--good price. My son will be home today, so I will head over there for dinner and visit, and then tomorrow morning head north to Oregon for two weeks.

Hope my slides continue to work. Problem was electrical and mobile guy could not find the specific spot because he could not crawl under my vehicle without a jack and more equipment, but it is now not an emergency. Other problem he discovered was that the plastic battery compartment my batteries sit in under my steps has really bad cracks in it. He says that Fleetwood has a recall on the Bounder for this issue, so they should fix this. He said batteries have fallen out while the rig was in motion and hit the wheels causing the vehicle to swere and cause substantial damage on the way. Got to get mine fixed before that point, obviously.

And he also showed me how my batteries were going bad, but said to wait until the compartment was repaired. So, more never-ending repairs!!

CArol... I know exactly what you mean Carolb & I. found out there's certain things we can no longer do... and doing these projects that we've done and we also found out that we need lots of breaks we work for 15 minutes and take a 20-30 minute break... and we also found out that that really works taking those breaks it helps but we were still exhausted at the end of the day ...when we did a lot... like this scenario when we started the first job.... we went to Home Depot that first morning and we were just bouncing up and down the aisles getting this and that and having a great time... the next day we had to go get some more supplies and we were dragging our buns around the Isles....lol

I went to bed in pain and woke up once in the middle of the night again in pain. Took more Advil and once that kicked in, fell asleep til 10:30 this morning. A little stiff right now but tolerable. I am thinking more that it is a pinched nerve in my neck. So hopefully, I can get in to see that chiropractor early this week and see what he says/finds.

I think I have a stray kitty coming by here at night. Found some cat prints in the dust on my porch the other day so am leaving out kitten food at night now and it is gone by morning.

More little projects to do today so better get busy.

Have a great day! :D

I probably shouldn't butt in here (LOL - when did that ever stop me?) but if you have continuing pain, that is not resolving, you should perhaps think about going in to see an M.D. I had an aunt (when I was a child) that was permanently crippled by an aggressive chiropractic "adjustment" that went wrong. She never recovered, and she was about the age then that you are now.

Chiropractors do not have the education and training that an M.D. is required to have. If visits to the chiropractor are not resolving your pain issues, and if you are in continuing and unrelenting pain, it might be time to find an M.D. that you are comfortable in working with.

You might have something going on there that a chiropractor might not know about, or notice.

Shutting up now.

I already did go to my doctor and he just said it was muscle spasms and gave me a muscle relaxer prescription (which isn't working). Just trying all my options at this point. Thanks for sharing your aunts experience tho. Sorry to hear about her situation.

And I had several doctors eventually tell me my constant headaches were "in my head" funny but not. I finally went to a chiropractor who took xrays that actually showed where my neck was out of alignment... And after adjustments I was headache free for the first time in years. Several years later I was in a car accident and the doctor sent me to a chiropractor... It had re-damaged my neck. I had good insurance at the time.... Paid the doctor, the chiropractor and the massage therapist I was sent to. I almost was sad when it was deemed I didn't need further treatment!

If only my sinus/asthma headaches could be taken care of that way.

Harold swore by a chiropractor that he went to for years. That chiropractor died so he didn't see another one until a few years ago. It was a young guy that was too aggressive for someone in their 80's and hurt Harold's shoulder. My son went to him and he hurt my son too. I would get some recommendations on a chiropractor before I went to one.

It got cool again last night. I had 3 cats trying to get as close to me has they could.

CArol, I'm having fun with lawn mowers too. I had quit mowing when our old mower that looked like a small tractor went out and Harold got one of those zero turn ones. Our hill is very steep and I didn't like using it on the hill. The first time I tried to use it I got stuck between the power pole and the deck. There is a shallow ditch around the edge of the yard and I was forever having to pull Harold and the mower out of the ditch. I am trying to stay out of the ditch.

I have to bring the car in for service in the morning and bring more papers to the lawyer. Some days I think I'm going crazy. Papers I had a week ago it takes me an hour to find.

Unbelievable!!! I did my taxes last Sunday using Turbo Tax which I’ve used the last 10 years. Took just two hours and I filed both the State and Federal electronically at 4:00 pm. 4 1/2 days later my State refund was deposited in my checking account and 5 1/2 days later my Federal refund was deposited. Can’t believe either one processed them that fast. I don’t have a simple return either since I itemize, but they sure got it done.

Rain let up yesterday in CA and today is glorious. The dogs and I walked over to the local huge park and all the Callery Pear trees were in bloom along the way with their beautiful white blossoms. When the blooms fall off they look like snow on the ground. As close to snow as we ever get here. When we got to the park, huge wisteria were blooming and hanging down from an overhead shade structure. I love Spring!

Sandi, those flowers sound gorgeous! I love all the flowers blooming around here too. I bought a hanging pot of flowers today for the front yard. I don't even know what kind they are but they look like mini petunias.

Funny story...many years ago I had a crush on a chiropractor that my dad went to and who was a friend of my neighbor. So I started making appointments to see him so I could hopefully get a date with him. Took three back adjustments to finally get that date. Unfortunately, it didn't go too well so no second date. He sure was handsome tho! Lol!

Felt pretty good today but now my neck is starting to hurt again. Got a few more things done today. Returned some things to Walmart and got some groceries. Finally got my printer hooked up with my laptop. Took a couple hours to do so. I have a love/hate relationship with printers! (mostly hate!).
