Winter Storm Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Winter Storm Tuesday

Postby Colliemom » Tue Apr 03, 2018 7:45 am

Good Morning everyone. It may be spring on the calendar, but nature is still playing winter. 8-14 inches of very heavy wet snow on the way for later today into early tomorrow morning. Going to cause some issues for sure. Couple errands to run in the area right here this morning and then going to just curl up inside rest of the day. Laundry, vacuuming and working on my new sign will keep me busy.

Have a nice day out there :D

Don't worry Sue, the snow is on the way! We have about 5" right now and the wind is blowing like mad. Spring has sprung...NOT! The only good thing about getting snow this time of the year is that we know it won't last long.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

And hopefully it'll be mainly gone by next week when I get to SD! I know we'll get some after I arrive. Always do.

I slept in. Need to walk Peaches, unhook electric and cable and hit the road... No hurry, I'm not planning more than 4 or so hours driving today.

The wind is blowing hard here too. The plants I have on the porch are taking a beating. I think they said we have a chance of severe weather tonight.

I need to go put the fabric back down around the 2 rose bushes I planted. Next will be to see if the weed eater still works. I would like to have one that doesn't need 50 feet of electric cord. I think there is an old gas one around here somewhere but it wouldn't start when it was new.

I got a summons for Jury Duty in 3 weeks. I need to see at what age you can get off their list. I would probably be more worried about when the next bathroom break would be than the case, if I got picked.

I seem to have more pain when I lay down and the pain came back last night. Was up and down all night again. Went for another massage this morning. She really did a lot of stretching on my neck and shoulders so hoping that helps. Will know for sure in a day or two. Will be getting my new mattress tomorrow.

Cool, sunny and breezy today. No snow here! Off to work in a couple hours. Meanwhile, I am getting my tax stuff together. I still haven't gotten my W2 from Arizona, so am trying to estimate how many hours I worked that January and go from there.

Have a good day!

Good afternoon. This is unusual for me but my day started fairly early today! Since I had to be in State College for an appointment I decided to get some running around done. Saves me a trip over later. Sue, we got 2 or 3” yesterday but by late afternoon it had pretty much melted! The advantage of spring storms. Martha, I got summoned for jury duty soon after my husband passed away and I sent back a note explaining that and that I didn’t think I was in a good mind set to make decisions for someone’s future. They excused me. Barbie, seems that I remember the IRS has a form or some means of allowing you not to produce a W-2 from an employer. We had a client who had worked for a trucking company that went belly up and no one got their W-2s. If you go to a tax professional they can probably guide you. Know that probably is much help but I can’t remember just what my boss did! Beth, hope you miss the weather! I noticed today that the willow trees are starting to change to their spring colors! So I’m hoping spring is coming! That’s always one of my signs that spring is almost here. Plus I’m starting to see RVsand TTs on the road! Hope they aren’t on the road tomorrow since I just heard our area is under a high wind advisory.

Well, time to find something for my dinner, the boys already had theirs so time for me! Have a good evening!

isn't there a law that they have to have sent it by a certain date like last day in Jan or something? is it possible that it was sent to your old house in Minnesota or where ever the last address they have...
but get on their butts and get it

I am sure the W2 was sent to the wrong address. But I have called them 5 or 6 times and gave them my new address, email and phone number each time and still haven't gotten anything.
I did stop at H&R Block today and they had me fill out a form of some kind. She said I could ask for an extension if I still don't have it by next week. In the meantime, I will get everything else together for my taxes.
