Going to Mexico

Postby mtngal » Fri May 08, 2009 9:15 am

Hi all! I have the Roadtrek just about all packed and ready to leave for Texas tonight. Driving to Fresno to meet friend who will travel with
me to Las Cruces and then I will beeline to Austin. We leave for San Miguel de Allende for a month next Saturday. DD and DGD will be gearing up next week, but I needed to be ready to go today! The decision to go or not to go left us stressed for most of a week, but since
deciding to go, we are all very excited. There will be three adults and DGD staying in what was advertised as the "the garden villa"....it's a small two bedroom house on the same property as an older residence in the historical district, near El Jardin, the central park of San Miguel. It's a walking area, we won't have a car. But we will have wi-fi so I can post and even keep my blog! This is not only my first long trip in NEW
RT, but also first time to Mexico (btw, we are flying to SMA, not taking RT), so needless to say I am very excited!!! Stay tuned....

I'm with Cedar, don't forget the photos.
Sounds like a wonderful adventure and you get to really try out the RT Even if it does not cross the border.

I can't wait to hear all about the RT's first long trip - followed by your wonderful Mexican vacation. So exciting. And yep, even though I'm on one of my trips of a lifetime, I'm still jealous of this one of yours. We just want to do it all, don't we?

YAY, Diana! Sure hope you have a great trip and visit, and that you take loads of pictures to share with those of us who are still stuck at home. Hope to hear lots about your Road Trek. I really love those things, and am considering trading everything for one of those some day when I retire.
