Snowy Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snowy Wednesday

Postby Colliemom » Wed Mar 07, 2018 8:00 am

God Morning from the snowy 45th. White world out there this morning again. Been awhile since we have had a snowfall here, but it’s March in Michigan and actually it’s normal for here. We are down 29 inches below normal snowfall, so looks like March is trying to make up for it  Out with the snowblower later. Think I remember how to run it  O’Sharon, how are you doing with these storms out your way?

My mind would rather be thinking the summer camping season, but hard to do when the world is white out there  But got a couple possibilities floating around out there. Also couple remodel ideas for my trailer too. But for now, will finish up cosmetic upgrades in house, soon as new curtains etc., arrive in the next few days. Took some stuff to Salvation Army store Monday, few more things to sort through in basement and look for buyer for me good china I haven’t used in a long time. Too good to put in a garage sale.

So that’s the latest here in northern Michigan. Hope you all have a nice day out there.

Good morning
Don't know what I'm doing yet for today. I've threatening for over a week to get some alone time with laundry, hahaha, hasn't happened yet and I can honestly say it won't happen today either as today is a scheduled water shutoff day for repairs. Dang, I really wanted to do it, lol!!
I will continue with painting as I've taken a couple days off from that chore and I'm very close to being done. Then can load up the storage tubs and call the tow truck.
I'm sure y'all are tired of hearing about it but soon enough I will have some real adventures to share.
Y'all have a great day and be safe.

Good morning. Been reading posts but nothing exciting happening in my little part of the world! Appears that it’s winter again! Snow in the forecast for the next couple of days. Luckily we are on the cusp of the really heavy stuff. They are saying we might get 1 to 3 overnight tonight. And the winds are supposed to Rachel up again. Don’t like wind. Know what you mean about winter in March, Sue. It’s always an up and down month here too. The month where I might need the snowblower or times when I’ve needed to fire up the lawnmower. This year looking more like the snowblower! I did notice the other day that some of my bulbs out front have already started to show themselves. A couple of inches of green showing.

I’m waiting for the vet to call on blood test results on my older pup. He’s been consuming a lot of water so not sure of the reason. We’re concerned for renal or diabetes. Or it just could be the dryness in the house. He’s eating well and acting his normal self so don’t know what they’ll find if anything. He’s just slowing down in general. We never got a true date of how old he was when we got him but decided his birthday would be the first of April so he’ll be 12. Goodness, where has the time gone!? Barbie, glad they got the trees out of the creek for you. Now you shouldn’t have to worry about water coming up and flooding. Rivers and creeeks running high and fast around here. Alice, glad you are about ready to head out on new adventures. Know I’m missing some so will just hope for a good day to everyone. Travel safe.

The kids have gone home, and I slept 13 hours! I'm going to miss them, but the quiet sure is restful. Three under ten = tons of energy. Drew was thrilled! It was a great visit. :D

Spent most of yesterday waiting in RV service for oil change and serpentine belt to be installed. (This place does mechanical stuff.) Need emergency brakes fixed, but they had to order part from warehouse and not enough time at end of the day, so back here early today for another three hours. I really, really needed tje emergency brake fixed as I could drive with it all the way down to floor.

Sue, somewhere, I have a picture of my kids sitting on a snowdrift next to our driveway in Detroit area after 18" snow--dated April 23! Probably late 1970s.

And, Alice, where are you headed for your first big adventure, or are you just heading out and making it a surprise to us and yourself?? If they get my brakes done by noon, I will head off to a nearby laundromat to do a couple of loads. I have a LOT of clothes because laundry is something hard to get done sometimes, but it has been 10 days since laundry and won't have another chance for a week so hoping to get it caught up.

Was really nice chatting with Beth for lunch the other day. Eating out is a treat for me. I am really getting tired of my own cooking so need to get out or at least bring stuff home more often!

Still laying in bed trying to get motivated to get going with my projects today. Emily is up and racing back and forth across the house! Wish I had some of her energy!

Looks like it is cloudy out this morning. Supposed to be sunny and close to 70 later tho.

Have a good day!

Alice, I will be in the Pacific Northwest from July 8 through most of September.

Anyone else going to be up there?
