1st sat in March

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

1st sat in March

Postby Bethers » Sat Mar 03, 2018 10:29 am

The year is already flying past us! Amazing! Today's a 3 hour work day for me... Then 8 days off before my final work week of the winter. I'm not going anywhere this week, except locally to take care of business.

A week ago yesterday I e-filed my taxes. I checked last night and the refund reached my account yesterday. Awesome!

Good morning
It is certainly amazing how fast time flys by at times. My time in FL is half pasted now. Have to get home by first of April to get my taxes filed. No refund for me again
Looks like another beautiful sunny day in FL tho temps have dropped dramatically. Had to get flannel PJs out last night and may need space heater tonight.
Still working on trying to get a small drone to fly. Actually stuck on not being able to make it pair with smart phone.

Good morning,
well I'm tickled to say I've secured my spot in the storage yard for the fifthwheel!! Now to get the plates renewed and road insurance. Then payday I can afford to pay a tow truck. After that its just a matter of cleaning up this yard and I should be able to hit the road, well, blm anyway until spring is over. Soon as I get out of this rv park I can start saving money!
That's my news for now.
Y'all have a great day and be safe.

Glad to hear that Alice. Things are falling into place for you for sure. So you will be a fulltimer now I take it. I thought you were going to use your space at the park to call home but guess I was wrong....again LOL

Sorry you are having troubles with your drone Sarah......I am like zero help with that.

Another sunny NO SNOW day despite the gloom and doom from the weather people LOL Getting ready to pop in the shower and then take Emma for a walk. Tried a new recipe this morning for crepes that fit in my keto diet. They were surprisingly good. So I will make them again. Cleaned out my coffee cup/mug cupboard this morning...where oh where did I get all these cups....sigh.

This year is flying by so far. Next weekend we change our clocks to daylight savings time. Wow. Oh well soon be time to go camping so that works for me.

Morning has come and gone. Steve and I are both under the weather, but although I sound bad, I feel much better than I did last night. Steve has an appointment 9:00 Monday morning as the otc stuff isn't helping him at all. He has terrible coughing spells, mostly after we've gone to bed, that last for hours on end. Needless to say, neither of us are sleeping well, so I'm looking forward to getting some stronger meds into him so he starts feeling better soon.

We went for our annual luncheon yesterday with a large group to a restaurant in Ocala called Ipanema's, which is a Brazilian steakhouse. They have a huge salad bar and the waiters come with meat on large spears, that they cut. This is an all you can eat meal and if anyone goes way hungry, it's their own fault. The service yesterday was unlike that of years past but we'll give them another chance next year.

We went to the annual RV show in Ocala a couple days ago, and another couple here from the campground that go to the same church I play for in MD, bought a new fifth wheel. They are in the process of taking things out of their travel trailer and storing things in a screened in room in their room, for the big move in a couple days.

Karen, I'd love the recipe for the keto crepes. I also am on a low carb/high protein diet and would love to see how you make those.

Getting in here under the wire...

It rained good all night long and even harder this morning. Now raining again off and on. Sun was out most of the afternoon tho.

Was thinking about going hiking tomorrow but with all the rain, trails will be too muddy right now so will find something else fun to do. Really should finish laundry and a few other projects but that isn't all that fun.

Off to bed now.

Irmi, these were super simple and actually were very good I will make them again for sure.

Cream Cheese Pancakes/Crepes

Servings: 1 Serving Size: 4 -5

Ingredients
2 oz cream cheese (slightly softened)
2 eggs
1 tsp granulated sugar substitute ( IBIH recommends) I use Monk Fruit granulated (no aftertaste)
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Put all ingredients in a blender or magic bullet. Blend until smooth.
Let rest for 2 minutes so the bubbles can settle.
Pour 1/4 of the batter into a hot pan greased with butter or pam spray.
Cook for 2 minutes until golden, flip and cook 1 minute on the other side.
Repeat with the rest of the batter.
Serve with sugar free syrup (or any syrup of your choice) and fresh berries.
