Sunny Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Tuesday

Good morning! Wow, second day in a row with sun here in central PA! But not going to last apparently, rain, snow and low temps in the forecast. So I’ll take what I can get and enjoy it! I decided kinda last minute to make a run to Carlisle yesterday, needed to renew my ID card and they’re about the closest military facility to do it. Watched the river pretty much the whole way down and it was running fast and high. Just over the banks in most places but so far houses looked to be safe. Lots of summer camps along there. So today will be another running day. Taxes are done so need to go pick them up and see what the damage is. Seems like it’s always a guessing game.

Lyn, glad your daughter is doing well and sounds like she has a lot of positive vibes around her. Velda, was sad that treatment didn’t work this time for DH. Keeping you both in my thoughts. Had Hospice care for both my mom and husband and certainly appreciated their help.

Not much else happening around here. Same stuff, different day. Reading everyone’s posts and living vicariously through all of you! Have a good day!

Rained here all night and this morning yet. Postponed one of the people coming for a cabinet until tomorrow.

Emily is racing around like a crazy kitten right now! Eventually she will just stop and fall fast asleep before her next crazy streak! So funny!

Hanging out in bed for awhile before starting on projects for the day.

Have a good day! :D

My son’s cat went for an unplanned swim in their pool Sunday. Got himself out but was wet and traumatized, which is good. Did not like being wet but somehow kept his head dry. This is cat who got stick in his eye as kitten—$800. Plus last summer left for four days and came back with huge tear on his side that needed $1,200 worth of surgery. Son Calls him “2K” and says he needs therapy for a death wish— cat, not son.

I think vet must have left something inside when he was neutered. Cat is only two so has more adventures in store.
Apparently he stayed inside rest of day.

Headed to White Tank Regional park for six days. Loaded up with groceries and propane.

Good thing cats have 9 lives!

I joined Curves today. :D Waiting to get my new work schedule for the next week so I can plan when I can get there. I am excited to get started! I am so flabby and out of shape! I like the idea of getting feedback from the computer and keeping track of how I am doing. Will keep me motivated.

Went pants shopping at Kohls and found one pair of black pants that fit pretty good. Didn't even look at the price but just about flipped when I saw I paid $44 for them! Stopped at Walmart on the way home and found 2 pairs of black pants that fit even better for $11 each. So back to Kohls tomorrow with the other pants.

The creek came up today with the rain. I am a little concerned because there is a dead tree that is laying across part of the creek right in front of my place. Wasn't too much of a concern before but now there is another large tree trunk that washed down and got caught on the other tree so the water is being pushed up against the bank on my side. I am worried that the bank will start to wash away now. I will talk to the park manager tomorrow about it and see what can be done. Would like both trees removed if possible. We'll see...

Found some nice valances for the big windows in the living room and dining room and put those up today. Looks so much nicer now! Really finishes off the look of those two rooms now. Didn't get to the storage unit today so will have to do that for sure tomorrow or I will have to pay for another month and I really don't want to do that. Shouldn't be raining tomorrow.

Good morning
I'm still enjoying my time in FL. Nothing exceptional to report pst few days - just nice to have quite time.
I did get ambitious enough to do my Tarzan act (climbing up on back of bench seat) to get vacuum down. Charged and got some much needed cleaning done. Still have Nicky's bedding to do but most surfaces have at least been dusted and vacuumed.
Have been working off and on trying to decipher some Chinese English instructions for a tiny drone. It belongs to Sandy but she gave up on it so now my turn. Supposed to control it with smart phone. First must figure out how to assemble. If I get that far will look into how to read OR codes with phone. Wish me luck - I'd really like to see this little thing fly.
No real spot here to watch sunrise or sunset but I got a photo of setting sun behind an old dead tree I like. Haven't figured out how to reduce size of photo since Apple changed the editing in Photo software so excuse for now. If someone knows how to correct please let me know.
