Meet Emily

Postby BarbaraRose » Thu Feb 22, 2018 9:59 pm

I went to the SD Humane Society this morning and came home with this...

She is very sweet and so far not really crazy hyper, but still playful. She slept a lot today and we took a 2 hour nap after we got home. She loves to snuggle which is awesome since Lola doesn't at all. She was just spayed yesterday so that's probably why she slept so much today. She is just now starting to explore and get frisky. Lola is just watching her from the other room.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie Emily is really cute! Doesn't she need to wear a collar after being spayed yesterday? My puppy had to wear her collar for 14 days
after she was spayed.

As long as you were at the Humane Society, did you look at any doggies for your alarm - and they cuddle also.

She seems to be leaving her belly alone. They don't make the long incisions like they used to. Can barely see it.

I have been looking at dogs but seems everything out here is either chihuahas or pit bulls and german shephards. Would like something bigger than a chi and a little fuzzier, like a sheltie or pom mix. No hurry on that tho.

I was wondering how she and Lola were getting along. I think you'll get a better idea after she's over the surgery effects. She is adorable.

So far Lola is keeping her distance and just hisses occasionally. Lola did really well with the other kitten I had after a few days of hissing at her too. Unfortunately, that kitten was too wild and aggressive and beat up on Lola when she got bigger. Emily so far seems calmer but we'll see how she is in a few days when she feels better from her surgery. She is sleeping on my pillow next to my head right now.

Oh, I love kittens. I hope she and Lola can get along. None of my house cats are very friendly with each other and 2 are sisters. I see pictures of cats sleeping together but that's not happening here. I might have 4 cats sleeping with me but they each pick a corner. Some of the outside cats buddy up but a couple have to slap anyone that get close.

Precious little kitten! I love cats. Benji drove my cat Zipper crazy. Wouldn't leave her alone. Val does not want another cat. So, I have to be content with just Benji now. lyn

Lola is getting a lot better with Emily (aka, Emmy). She will go up to her and bump noses and walk away now. Very little hissing. Great progress for just a few days. :D

Emmy is getting bigger already! She has a heart on her right side...
