Saturday Morning Sleepyheads!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday Morning Sleepyheads!

The weather just keeps getting better in Arizona. I've promised myself to do some cooking, cleaning, etc today. So far I'm a slug on the couch. What can I say?

Gosh everyone must be sleeping in or very busy this morning.
I'm just about going crazy trying near impossible task of getting ready to leave for FL in the morning. I do at least have a clean fluffy white dog with reasonably good health (annual checkup yesterday) ready to go.
The Hardee Lakes gtg is still growing...up to 16 now.

Morning everyone. It's a bright sunny day here in Roseville headed into mid 50's. Not much new to tell. Mel remains same as he heads into his second cycle of this chemo next week. I go to Curves and try to keep up around here. Hope we get more rain in a week or two. Younger son had hernia surgery last Tuesday but was back in classes he is taking by Friday! Oh to be young again! Hope all have a good weekend and week ahead.

I'm here at Lake Pleasant, north of Phoenix, but slept in and just finished an almond bear claw. Going to do a little work online, and then get my bike out and head for the nature center. Very pretty place, and as usual, I got my reservation way early and so got one of the prime pull-thru spots overlooking the lake--great view!! It's bright and sunny here also, but it is supposed to get up to 70 today, so why is everyone wearing jackets at noon? Tomorrow is supposed to be 80, but I do not believe that. Glad I switched to my down comforter for sleeping as it has been really cold at night.

A little confusing that today is listed as Sunday, but I understand what happened.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Not morning anymore but just checking to see what everyone is up to. I've been washing walls and ceiling in the bedroom. Took the hard balanced off , threw them away. Still need to take the screen off and wash that. One side at a time. I'm not that energetic, really wish I could just hire it done! At least everything is out of the bedroom closets and drawers, except of course the bed as I'm using that!
This is not fun!! Its too much like work, lol
But at least I'm making my way down and eventually it will be done.
Back to work, y'all have a great day and be safe.

What to do on a rainy day to avoid doing actual work at home.... Drove up to Dayton to visit their RV show. It was packed and I saw many younger people and families wandering the tight spaces between and inside the RV's themselves. It was interesting but mostly travel trailers and 5th wheels. Only a couple of large Class A's. Same for the small Class B's and C's. I feel badly for some of the folks wandering around with dreams in their eyes. They have never been to Tampa and seen the real diversity of options that are out there. Pictures and floor plans on line just are not the same. I did leave still appreciating my current floor plan despite it's entry level fit and finish that does not seem to hold up well to hard living. Still want to remove the love seat with a comfortable recliner to read in and more dog crate options.....

Only exciting part of the day was losing my phone at the RV show and walking back later to the security office to find that some honest individual had found it and turned it in. Keeps me humble and reminds me that though I don't like carrying a purse that my pockets are not equally trustworthy. For me it brought home the a difference between traveling light and traveling careless.

Today I got trained for a volunteer job that starts in February after the Hardee Lakes gtg. Time to start giving back to this wonderful community.

This evening i’m Trying another meal in the Instant Pot. Pot Roast. Got my guinea pigs lined up to test it, lol. I’ll let you know.

That’s all I did today. :D

I noticed Sarah named her post Sunday but not that it took on that name when merged. Bad me.

Good for you, Liz. Anything in particular you're volunteering to do?

Tina, I have that entry level fit and finish. I know just what you mean. As I make minor changes I'm trying to improve some of them. But, for the most part, just treating everything, as I can, gently.

Kind of a bittersweet day for me...

Last night I found out that my friend who was diagnosed with colon cancer 3 weeks ago, passed away a week and a half ago. She went in to the hospital for her first chemo treatment and died right there. I feel so sad! She and I were ferret buddies. We were introduced by a mutual friend who knew we both had ferrets. She ferret-sat for me many times, and took in my ferret, Moxy, when I moved to California 8 years ago. She was just in her late 50's. She was a really great person!

Today is also the one year anniversary of when I found out my dad was dying and I flew back to MN right away to be with him for the few days before he died.

On the brighter side, I got to leave work early to go to a meeting about getting the city of Encinitas to be "ferret friendly". I got my ferret "fix" and got to play with several adorable ferrets there!

I need to go back out to Walmart and the grocery store but no energy right now. Have tomorrow off so will go to church (checking out a new one) and then work on more projects around here.

Hope you are all having a good weekend!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Thanks for the correction and combination Beth. Guess I had my mind already set to tomorrow.

Tina you are so right about the RV show limits. The first show I attended was Tampa. Not knowing anything about RVs at the time other than what I had picked up from ladies on forum. The next one was in Huntsville and I was very disappointed to have had to pay for the few minutes there trying to find anything other than Class As, TTs, and 5th Wheels.

I hate driving after dark but I've got take another load of stuff to Magic and get everything put away. Want it done tonight so I don't loose too much daylight in the rain tomorrow.

Sarah, I hope you don't get the rain that came through Louisiana. It wasn't bad up here in the middle of the state but my son said they got 11 inches at home. He sent me a picture of the flooded pastures. I saw pictures of street flooding in Abbeville. I bet there were people that got water in their house again. Probably in Lafayette too.

Not much going on at the campout except a lot of crafting and eating. We had high tea this afternoon. lol I'm not into crafts but like the eating. Yesterday one of the ladies gave a class on making Lemon Curd. It was good but too much work for me.
