Blog help

Postby RitaMc » Wed Jan 24, 2018 9:11 pm

Next week we leave for Yuma and I have decided instead of sending emails or doing Facebook postings to friends and family I will do a blog. I've set up a blog on blog spot. I follow some of your blogs and really enjoy how you can make the most ordinary happenings so interesting. I have started a new blog and was wondering what hints you have for making blogging easier. For instance if I upload six pictures in what order will they appear on the blog page? Also can I write the captions under the pictures after all are uploaded on the page? I appreciate any help you can give me to make it read like I know what I am doing.

Rita, I use Blogger. The pictures will upload in the order you add them, but you can delete them (right click) and put them somewhere else without having to load them from you PC again, but only if you have not closed out. Also they will post to the page wherever your cursor is, so if you want to type first & then insert your pics, you can put them where you want. I sometimes type a draft first if I'm not online, paste it I to the blog and then add the pics.

You can also resize the pics on the blog with the right click. Hope this helps.

Give us the link to your blog once you get going. You know we love to see what every one is doing.

I also use blogger and cna upload my pictures from my lap top (Apple) easily. I usually start my narrative then up load a bunch of pictures and if the order is not important just type the story around them and caption them as I go. Often I do want to rearrange them and as Cheryl mentioned you can cut and paste them in a different order easily....

All good helpful comments. Sometimes if I know I won't have time to write several blog posts in a row when I am traveling in an interesting area, I will go ahead and set up the posts with titles and then post the all the appropriate pictures in each one. They will sit there in draft form until I have time to write. That always helps me remember what I wanted to write about.

I usually upload all the pictures first then add a few words that tell the story.
