What to expect??

Postby Tonic » Tue Jan 23, 2018 2:47 pm

Hi ladies, in anticipation of meeting you at the get-together at Hardee Lake I have just had the oil changed and I'm getting two new tires on front. Other than Wine and chocolate, both of which I have, should I plan on a potluck or what kind of stuff happens? Now that I've decided to start going out and doing things I'm really looking forward to this adventure. Anyway, let me know what goes on and an idea of what to expect, thanks!

You might want to post in the GTG area under this particular meeting, but here are some general things:
- We're a pretty informal group, so just join in and be comfortable.
- There will usually be at least one potluck which is only somewhat organized. Depending on your rig's refrigerator size, you can bring something to cook or put together with other stuff. Does not need to be fancy. Do bring your own plates and silverware, however.
- Sometimes there will be open houses where everyone snoops in other people's rigs, but you don't have to open yours if you don't want to. Women are always interested in something someone has added for storage or something else handy. And I guess everyone just likes to see what is possible.
- Sometimes everyone goes out for a meal or strawberry shortcake if you are at the Hillsborough GTG at the right time of year. Yum!

Hardee Lake has lovely trails for walking and many birds for watching.

Don’t stress over the details. Just go prepared to have a good time and make some wonderful new friends.

All great advice! Just go and have fun! Participate as much or as little as you want - no judgements! We all respect each others choices. If you want to do something and want company just let the group know and there usually are a few who want to join in. Or you can just go off and do your own thing for awhile, No pressure! But everyone is very nice, friendly and helpful!

There is a pot luck planned for the 10th but there will likely be more than one.
Which site # do you have and what dates will you be joining us?

Sarah, I believe her intro post says site 14. And if my memory is any good at all, she told Beki she would miss her as she's leaving the 7th.
