Home again

Postby kelpie » Wed May 06, 2009 9:53 pm

Just thought I'd check in. I've been home a month now and been very busy dealing with issues with my house getting re-settled etc. I have been working in the yard again I did miss that a little although by the end of the summer I'm tired of it again. I love spring and planting and planning new landscaping ideas. My oldest son (just turned 23) seems to be finally getting his act together a little bit. Hooray. My baby will be home from college on Friday and bring all his chaos. All my friends here keep raving about how good I look with my tan and weight I lost. Wasn't specifically trying, and not sure how much since I don't own a scale but all my pants are falling off. Signed up today for basic obedience class for me and Eddie. Supposedly he had them before I got him but he sure doesn't mind me so it's probably me that needs training! I was hoping to do some work with temp agencies here but there doesn't seem to be much available right now so may have to look for part time work for summer/fall. I really need a little extra income and $$ for some RV maint/modifications.
I'm hoping to take around 3 weeks this summer to travel to Wisconsin, Minnesota and maybe the UP of Michigan and then down along its western edge. My two sisters and I are planning to spend a week camping in PA at the cg where I met Paulette and her sister last year. One sister lives in upstate NY and the other in Dayton and me in Lima so PA is sort of central for all of us. We've never done this before but are really looking forward to spending the time together. Then in the fall I want to travel to Maine and a few other NE state and explore the area around my sister a little more. Next winter I plan to head back to the TX gulf coast and stay at the beach a little longer. Then I want to head east along the gulf of MX, spending time at beaches in Alabama and the panhandle of FL. Next, I want to see Savannah and Lori and Ernie and head north along the coast. And those plans are absolutely firm, unless I change my mind.

Great update - and now how about some pics of your garden when it gets going?

Ah, plans set in jello - about the best rv plans.

[size=125I like the idea of jello plans!

Yes, keep us posted on all that you do around your house! And, when you get up here to northern NY, look up me and Cedar and we could have a mini-GTG!!!][/size]

Kelly, sounds like traveling agrees with you! Glad to hear all is well and you are home and settling in. Hope you are able to find some temp work. Are you going to try to make the GTG in September at Ferryboat? And yes, as someone else said...pictures please?

Sounds like you have a lot to look forward to, both at home and on the road. The planning can be as much fun as the doing-especially knowing that "jello" can be right around the corner. :D carold

had a few internet issues but now have wireless at home so should be able to check back in regularly. Will get some photos of the garden/landscaping when it's done. I am planning on the GTG in PA. I'd love to meet up with Cedar and whoever in NY. Lizm- where are you? Maybe we can meet up sometime - I love meeting my forum sisters.

Kelpie,... yes, it would be grand to gtg,... I will be working two jobs during the fall so the PA gtg is out of the question for me. But you are welcome to come up this way any time. I'll be camping a lot of the time over the summer season so if you find a chance send me a PM and perhaps you could join me or stop by at home where I have a large back yard. If you have a huge/heavy rig there is a campground a few miles away. Think about it!
