Thanks, Sheila!
I definitely didn't know that there was a "dump" available. I have no problem with "dumping" my Thetford - the "tank" is fairly unobtrusive, it is easy to do (I have often dumped it when staying at various types of campgrounds - when I couldn't make it to the Ladies room in the middle of the night the Thetford was a real bonus!!
).
Good news about the water, also. I could get an additional 5 gal. . . tote?. . . that would give me 15 gallons total for washing and such, which should be plenty (I always use bottled water for drinking when traveling, as I have a sensitive stomach), knowing of a place to refill would ease my mind.
Knowing there is water available is new information, I wouldn't mind paying the fee.
Wow! The only thing I need do now is get my solar set up so that I can run my fridge. Truth to tell, the thought of this adventure is a bit "scary" (I am a bit of a fraidy-cat) but do-able! Perhaps I won't make a reservation at a campground after all.
My first-ever GTG (with those aforementioned ax-murderers
) was at Eagle Lake last August. I truly enjoyed the experience, and meeting strong, like-minded, adventurous women at the GTG was the
best!
THANKS, Sheila!
