Snowy Friday - 48 hours to Christmas Eve

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snowy Friday - 48 hours to Christmas Eve

Postby Colliemom » Fri Dec 22, 2017 8:17 am

Good Morning out there. Am up but not necesarily at em totally. Breakfast in tummy, bed made and load of wash in dryer. So some things are accomplished. Snowblowing on the agenda too, when it stops snowing. Only about 3 inches, first snow in a week. Might do some house cleaning this morning.

What’s everybody doing for Christmas? I’ll be home here on the Eve watching Christmas programs. Got the fixings for beef stew and biscuits, will make jello dalad and pumpkin pie tomorrow. Christmas Day will go to mass and over to cousin’s for awhile in afternoon. Made some butter cookies yesterday to munch on this week. Wasn’t going to, but they have been part of Christmas my whole life, soooo......

Beth, I too was trying to figure out the sorting of “mayo” the other day at first. Thought maybe there had been some real mayo sent to everybody  Spell correct is a hoot sometimes. Barbie, great job on the boards. They look beautiful.

Time to move along here. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning,
Its freezing in the desert!! I don't like this one bit! Have the faucet dribbling in the bathtub as the sun comes up we always have a drop in temperatures.
Today is the little Christmas program at Jacks school, will go early to get a good parking space. It will be fun.
Doing Christmas eve at daughters house and see Jack open his big present from grandma. The treasure box turned out great. And since Jack enjoys the rocks as much as grandma, I put a very special one in a nice little box inside. He knows what falling stars are so I gave him a nice meteorite I found out in the desert of Quartzsite last year. Makes me think of that song "Catch a falling star" and I've got that jingle stuck in my head now.
I continue to get things packed up and stowed away. I'm really making headway here. Its beginning to come together. The over whelming part is over so I'm happy about that. One step at a time.
Nothing else from me. Y'all have a good day, be safe and be warm.

Brrr, 27 degrees right now. But the wind is gone, so the mid to upper 50's for a high will be livable. I'm still curled up in bed, waiting till the last minute to walk Peaches before heading to work... Giving that sun every chance to start warming things up. I don't drip water... Easy enough to turn it off and use my tank and pump. Tomorrow the two freeze nights will be over for awhile.

I'm getting grief because I haven't signed up for the Christmas dinner here. There's still a few open spots, so I'll decide today or tomorrow LOL truthfully, I'd rather eat my pepper steak!

It is unusually warm here, light jacket weather but cloudy and a bit damp. I gave up on Christmas shopping and will finish up next week.
My little one is growing up so fast. She is so pleased with herself for learning to get on the couch. Mitzi isn't as pleased with her new trick.

I worked today and it was really busy. Tips weren't too good tho.

Ava, come out here where it is warmer and you can help me with my projects! I picked up some screen material and splining to redo the window screens in the living room and dining room. Also need to paint the lower half of the walls in those rooms (below the chair rails), before the floors get put in, which will now be January 6th and 7th. I called and put off getting my new furniture delivered until Jan 10th.

As for Christmas, I will go to church on Christmas Eve morning, then go to work until 5pm. Christmas Day I am thinking about going to a beach maybe up around Dana Point or San Clemente. Also have my little turkey breast to bake.

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

It was 80 degrees here today. I think a cold front is suppose to come through tonight. They can't decide if it will freeze next week or not. One day they have it freezing and the next day not. I vote for not. I'm suppose to bring my Rv in again the 27th and I don't want it freezing.

I went to get my ham today. It only took about 5 minutes to pick up the ham but 20 minutes to get out of the parking lot. I thought about taking my son's presents to him but I wasn't going to fight that traffic.

I started coming down with a cold last night. Today I felt ok taking Day-Quil but my nose is running tonight. I forgot to pick up some zinc lozenges when I was in town. My sister called and she has been in the hospital since Wednesday. She had been sick with a cold and cough and it kept getting worse. It doesn't help that she smokes all the time.
