First day of Winter!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

First day of Winter!

Happy First day of Winter! The good news is that we get a little more daylight now every day!!

Cooler and breezy today. Mid 60's but sunny.

So many things to do around here that I don't even know where to start! I should probably start with laundry and see how well my washer and dryer work.

Hope you all have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning
I slept til after 6!! I was surprised! Had my electric mattress pad on last night, kept me toasty warm. Recently thought it had broke and quit working, discovered somehow I had turned it down to low. Lol
Got my kitchen cabinets cleaned out yesterday and stuff put away in the motorhome. Few items still in there though for everyday use until I pull out on a road trip. The drawers are almost done. I know there are probably a few items I could get rid of but I'm just not ready to give it up. Maybe next year I can decide I won't need it.
Got gifts delivered, so that's done. Need to get laundry done today.
Windy day and its a cold wind!! But at least the days will be getting longer now . Only the first day of winter and I'm already wanting spring! Lol
Enough from me, off to get laundry in the car. Y'all have a good day, be safe.

Yea! Dec 21st...my Grandson's birthday, and day light getting longer! Noticed it this morning as I was up at 5:15. Watched it get light.

It was cold walking Benji this morning. Well, cold for me. 45* Quartzite was 34*....bring warm clothes!!!

Traffic last night was wild around here. Saw an almost accident with a car going through a red light, and a pedestrian almost got hit at another block. Benji and I were glad to get safely home.

Looking forward to Christmas morning and the greats opening their presents!

Yay! Get today over with and daylight will be gaining again... Although it takes awhile for me to really feel it. But I like knowing it's happening.

I hope today's wind isn't going to last. Combined with somewhat lower temps, it really feels wintry to me. Hard freeze is possible tonight and tomorrow night. Christmas should be warmer.

I look forward to the days getting longer. It was very foggy this morning and it's still foggy down here.

I tried making scones using a Jiffy Biscuit Mix. Will have to work on that. It needed more sugar and cranberries and less liquid. I probably should have looked to see if there was a recipe using Bisquick.

That's about all that's going on around here.

Yea for longer days!! I hate having to race to get to a campsite before dark, which means I need to get there by 4 pm, so I can set up before dark. MUCH nicer to have a couple or three more hours so you are not rushed.

I am headed to Las Vegas, and will fly out of there on Tuesday morning to see my Ohio kids.

Martha, take those scones when they are really fresh and cut them in half. Put a thick layer of whipping cream and a thinner layer of strawberry jam, and then dust with powdered sugar. (The Brits put a kind of very thick whipping cream on them, called Devon Double-Cream. It is so thick it does not have to even be whipped.) Yum!

Got a really bad cold--first one in over a year, but not a good one.
