Happy Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Happy Sunday

Still morning here in Arizona, but not much left! Nothing new here... Just being a bum today. I might take a look in my freezer and see what I can cook... Trying to use up as much freezer and cabinet foods as possible.

Not much going on here either. Was a rainy day yesterday and I was lacking in ambition so was a couch potato for the day. Today I have renewed energy so will do some household chores. The Roomba has done her thing so guess it is time to wash the floors. Have a couple of other projects to do and then just might be a Netflix day. Weather is supposed to be good this week so will finish up the yard for winter.

Taking the Motorhome to be winterized on Wed. I took all the food and bathroom cabinet stuff out...lordy how did I have so much in there??? No RV plans for this winter but I see a few road trips for Emma and I. She will be 9 months old next weekend. A great little camper and really good company. Very much a Velcro dog but better than a Doorstop dog I think LOL

My cruiser is hunkered down in Illinois from winds, etc... Making her way towards me one day at a time!

Afternoon here in southern Florida and more then warmish out. I need to get things out of the RV but I'm tired so it is a lazy day here. On the way down mind was saying I'd unpack it and get right back to Ocala area to get all the repairs done, body said this morning " you're nuts I'm tired" So good sense moved in and after pushing myself for a week and a half every single day, decided its wiser to really get rested then move on to other projects. Besides its hot out there to me, another adjustment. I am glad not to be in those 30 and 40 temps, and Mr P loves Fl his home state, so we'll be fine once I'm rested some.

I'm homeless, that takes some adjustment too, I have an idea area I like, IF I have to live down here but no prospective places to relocate yet. But today is a rest day so I won't dwell on that, as everything always works out !! :D

I've tried several times to write a post on the forum and FB but my service was so iffy up there they disappeared, that was aggravating. My DD has wifi here and service is better, so I will certainly enjoy that for awhile.

So for those who don't do FB I am now in FL and this will be my home base. I hated leaving NC and I have and always will love that state. I hope to do a long summer trip this summer. Just thoughts of where and what I want to see and do.

Need to charge this Ipad and go finish my book :)
Hope everyone is enjoying to the fullest their Sunday Afternnon.
Stay safe,
CArol

Barely morning still
Just doing a little of this and that. Took the motorhome out for a drive as I needed to run the generator and charge up the batteries. Last time I just ran it with it sitting in the driveway but decided there was no fun in that and since I was burning the gas, might as well see a new view out the window.
Doing a little crochet as well these last few days. Making chair pads out of yarn stash just to get rid of it. The chair pads are going to the rescue for the animals. The cats really like them and they look very nice in those little cubicles at petco where they adopt out cats.
My shed is almost empty of all the excess stuff. Its been a long process because I wash everything as I repack. Washing tools isn't easy but it has to done or they get smelly. CLR, a good scrub brush some rags to dry them off. Then spray with wd40 and wipe down again , gets the job done. So,,,in between boxes I'm always washing my hands and it has nothing to do with ocd.
I'm gonna end up with quite a few empty large tubs as I'm utilizing smaller ones that will fit in the storage bay and areas of the motorhome.
Alright, enough, y'all have a good day.

Good early afternoon! Getting warmer out here. Up to 91* today. Will be over 100* on Tuesday! :o

Beth, is your delivery guy traveling with someone else? Looks like your rig is parked with a larger one.

I work this afternoon but slept in late, missed church.

CArol, did you end up selling your house to your neighbors? Hope you find a nice place in FL for your homebase. Looks like several of us are settling into new places lately.

I will be meeting with the current owner of my new place on Thursday. Good opportunity to meet her and find out more about the house, yard and neighborhood.
Am also going to rent a storage unit near the house to put some of my stuff in for now getting a lot of boxes moved out from where I am now to make it easier when I move in November. That way I can take my time getting stuff moved in and arranged without dealing with piles of boxes everywhere. That gets so overwhelming!

Have a good day!

A front blew through here this morning and I mean BLEW. There were straight line winds for a little while and our lights kept going on and off. It blew the big trash bin across the yard, the rugs off the porch, everything else that was loose and broke a branch out of the oak tree. The cats were freaked out from all the noise. The temperature dropped to 65 for a little while but is back up to 71. The radar shows a lot of rain but it's not raining right now.

I don't feel like doing anything today.

Barbie, the daughter of a couple I workamped with last winter is driving my Cruiser. She's following her dad and step mom down... And actually another family member has come along.

Storm front is blowing through here now with heavy rain and lightning. Just lost the cable TV signal. Turned on the weather radio and have my flashlight handy just in case the power goes out. It was a lazy day for me today. Went to church and that's about it. Can't tackle all the phone calls and errands I need to do because it needs to be a weekday. So will have a busy day tomorrow if I get to it. Supposed to be stormy tomorrow too.

Sounds like you gals better hold on to your hats!

Got to work today and found out one of my coworkers was fired yesterday. It takes a lot to get fired from Great Clips especially since we are already shorthanded. But she really didn't know how to cut hair. She had several redoes every day and many people came back wanting their money back. Not good. I tried working with her and talking with her to slow down and recheck all her haircuts but she wouldn't listen. She didn't think she needed to learn anything. She was fresh out of school several months ago.

I told my GM that I would stay there thru the Thanksgiving weekend and then take 5 days off for moving before starting up at the shop in Vista. I will see if they are busy enough for me there. If not, I will check out the other GC's around that area and find one that is busier. I need to be doing more than 6 or 7 haircuts per day. I should be doing 2 to 3 per hour at the very least. I am used to making $60+ per day in tips and I am lucky now if I make $25. I can't afford that, especially with getting a house now.

Time for bed, I am rambling now...
