Sunday and Where's Fall?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday and Where's Fall?

Postby Colliemom » Sun Sep 24, 2017 6:47 am

Good Morning. Yesterday was the first official full day of fall, but feels like the first day of summer with these 80 degree highs. We've been flirting with 90 for past few days, but haven't heard if we reached that mark yet. Up till now, we haven't had a 90 degree day this year. At leadt the nighs are dropping into the 60's. I''ve ben busy packing for the IL GTG and it seems funny packing warm jackets, long pants, sweatshirts etc. when it's in the upper 80's, but I know the temps are going to take a big drop, so will be resdy for whatever.

Donna, sounds like you are having quite the trip south. Barb, good luck on the car hunting. Guess everybody's just busy with day to day life. Time for me to get moving too. Make bed, get dressed for mass and head out. Few little things to do today before leaving for the GTG in the morning. Have a nice day today.

Back to work, darn! But gotta keep the $$ flowing in at some point, for trips next year. Sue have a great time at the GTG, sure wish I hadn't had to cancel. Look forward to hearing about it and seeing some pictures.

This is supposedly the last warm day here in MN. Been a crazy year for weather. Safe travels to all on the road, hope everyone has a nice day.

Good morning all! Looks like another warm day here too! The first part of the month had me thinking furnace and now I'm back to air conditioning! Leaves are falling but they are really brown and dry so don't know how our color will be this fall. Not looking good right now, I'm seeing some change on the hills but not as bright as usual.

Sue, hope you have a great time at the gtg! Look forward to hearing about it! I'm way behind here but been trying to read all the posts! Lots going on with everyone. Having company the end of the week and plans to head up to view the elk. We couldn't get into the campground over the week end so will drive up from here. It's only about an hour from my home. And we may even see some on the way up.

The back/leg is slowly improving. At least I'm sleeping better! Going to physical therapy twice a week messes up the day(s) but since it's helping I can't complain to much! Would love to head out somewhere but it's not to be. So I'll just enjoy hearing what you all are doing! Have a great day and travel safe!

Fall is here in south Dakota. It's downright damp and chilly this weekend. It's supposed to warm up a tad... Still fall weather, but more pleasant, this week. It's possible we won't see snow before I head south, though. That's fine, I'll probably find some on the road LOL... Next week! This summer flew by.

We thought fall was here with temps in 70's and 80's but this week it's back to 90's!
Not much planned unless call from Dr re chemo. Maybe I can actually get stuff done!

Fall must have just got here. The temperature dropped from 101 to 87. It's probably just going to rain. I haven't been watching the weather so don't know the forecast.

Harold is back in the hospital. The nursing home sent him yesterday because they said his blood pressure was 68. When he got to the hospital his blood pressure was fine. The nursing home had said he might need blood over a week ago so the ER doctor decided to admit him and give him 2 units of blood. Why couldn't they have given him blood when he was there Wednesday. He is losing blood somewhere so now they want to run test for that. I decided to spend the night at the hospital so I would be there when the doctor made rounds this morning.

A friend was ordering shrimp so I told her I wanted some. Now I have to work cleaning shrimp into my schedule.

Sweatshirt and long pants weather here in Oregon at Cape Lookout SP, but it does not look like fall. I was lazy yesterday after I arrived, but am heading out to the beach soon. I is a very short walk and I can hear the surf, which is nice. At least it is sunny here and no rain is expected this week. I have shorts on but will add a sweatshirt and maybe a windbreaker. I bought some new beach shoes last week, so will wear those instead of getting my good shoes wet.

Got a full hookup site here, which is nice because I was able to flush out my black tank when I arrived. None of the dump stations I used over the past three weeks had ways to hook up a water hose, so black tank really needed it even though I was using a lot of water. I could tell because I was beginning to get a slight odor in my bathroom. All is squeaky clean now--or as clean as a black tank can get! I was surprised at how many Oregon state parks have full hookups. I am going to map them out for my son because with his family, they really need a full hookup. I almost never reserve one because being alone means I don't use much water, but it is nice to have it for a few days.

Have a good week, all.
