We're on the road again! Locked everything up in Yuma, kissed and hugged the neighbors good-bye for 6 months. We drove 217 miles of curvy dippy roads so I did not drive instead I was tending to car sick kitties!! Poor Sashamio had to stay in my lap to keep cool air on him....poor little guy looked like he had rabies with the foaming at the mouth so I kept his face clean and he settled down in my arms the whole trip. The longest I have held him....this is not a people person kitty because he was a wild kitten in the woods when he was a baby. Need to find out what I can give them. It usually is just the first day after sitting so long that they get sick.

We are in Bullhead City AZ at the Ridgeview RV Resort up on a cliff overlooking Laughlin Nevada. It is so pretty at night!! Our friends Jim & Barb are 3 MH down from us. We crossed the bridge last night and went to the new Tropicana casino for dinner and play the slots. I lost my $20. The Buffet there was good, DH was really watching what he ate with him losing so much weight on the Wii . He was 225# at his heaviest that I know and now he is down to 209# Wish I could lose that quick as he does!! I'm only down 6#....gurrrr#*##

We disconnected the Jeep to park the motorhome and the temp gauge in the Jeep said it was 119 degrees!!!!
Glad we were in a 50 amp hookup site because the air conditioner has not gone off the whole time we are here!! Hot and humid because we are close to the Colorado river. In the 90's here and hard to breathe!!!

Could not put the slide out out on the bedroom....cussed and then said quite a few prayers and tadaaaaa the slide went out. Thank-You God, he always watches over me!!!

We are heading over to Oatman today, go see the burros and the town and hopefully a western shootout in the street. Later tonight we have a free invite to go see a comedy show.

We leave tomorrow for Las Vegas and stay a week at the Thousand Trails Park off the Boulder Hwy by Sam's Club casino. Jim & Barb will follow us over.

I hope your kitties start having a better trip. That must be hard watching your
babies struggle. I was starting to feel sorry for myself with the rain & cold here
in SLC ... but 90s doesn't sound good, either! LOL.

LOL not sure if it was cussing or the prayer...just know I thanked him..now just hope it goes back in when we leave tomorrow! Seems they always get sick on the first day and after that they get used to riding again. OK wearing shorts today....it's gotta already be in the 70's and not 10:00 yet! Looking forward to seeing the burro's in Oatman

Jenny, I hope you bring some sunshine/warmth with you! We will be in the low 60s all this next week with rain, of course! What else in the PNW! Travel safe! Sorry about the carsick kitty. Hope he gets his RVing legs soon.

Have patience on the photo's, my good camera bit the dust yesterday and so I'm using my Mom's old camera. Might have to get a new camera in Vegas because the batterys will not hold up in Mom's. Would be easier to get a new battery.....IF I can find the one I need and so far have not found it!. The camera is slow though so would rather have a new one. DH groans when I tell him I want a new camera!!

Had a great time in Oatman, lots of little shops on both sides of the streets. The burros come into town for their carrots and Alfalfa. I got to feed them some Alfalfa. The babies had stickers on their heads to NOT feed them carrots, one of the store owners said it is because they do not chew them and choke.

Hey Sharon you would love this town because it caters to bikers and all the shops had biker things. Lots of T-shirts. I only got photo's, postcards and a sign that says " What part of MEOW don't you understand".

In Laughlin we got two T-Shirts for getting their players cards. One set of them I stretched over the seats in the Jeep to keep them from being hot. They were plain. The other set looked nicer so we'll probably wear those.
Ate dinner at the Tropicana Express buffet and was good.

Ok we're off to Vegas! Will post photo's later. Cross your fingers my dear sweet hubby buys me a new camera! I told him I did not need the expensive one just a small Canon one.

Hey Sheila we had Navajo Taco's for lunch in Oatman....they were good and reminded us so much of yours!!! Please E-mail me your recipe so I can make it for my family this summer.

Jenny, we were in Oatman last week! We were in Laughlin for the annual motorcycle River Run....had a blast. Thousands of bikes and vendors, what a sight. You should have gone on thru Oatman and taken the old hiway 66 into Kingman. Beautiful drive thru the mountains. Here's some pictures of the burros. They get pretty pushy when they know you have carrots!





And Jenny, I know there were doubts about my having a BF, so here's a pix of him, too.



The park where you're staying is one of my member parks and normally I would pay 8 dollars a nite there, but during the River Run they wanted 90 dollars a nite....told them to take a hike and we stayed at Needles Marina Resort for 35 a nite. Nicer park plus pool and jacuzzi and the fur babies got to play in the river.
