Lazy Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Lazy Thursday

Postby JudyJB » Thu Jun 29, 2017 11:44 am

I woke up this morning remembering that today was my dad's birthday. Wish he were around to know my grandkids and what I was doing. He passed away in 1988, and so much has happened in my life since then. I think he would be worried and very upset about my brother, but at least happy to know I have been successful at doing what I have always wanted to do.

So, where is everyone this morning?

Hi Judy! I woke up very early (and it's my day off) and went back to bed and actually slept for a couple more hours! I needed it. And it's going to be an extremely busy week, so I best take advantage of the extra sleep and the day off (although I've already gone into the store for a bit to do a few things and have been texted a few times - and will go back later to take care of the change fund ... but all minor, so all's well).

I've also updated two websites this morning that I take care of ... and I'm late in charging them their annual billing, so getting ready to do that now. They pay more promptly than I bill lol.

Off and on rain in the forecast here today ... not sure if I'll go do anything or just be a bum. One couple here went to an art gallery in Spearfish earlier this week - and after seeing the pictures, I HAVE to go there sometime this summer. One of the best things about other people sharing in the same area is discovering new places ... and wondering how you missed them. It's one reason I can come back over and over to many places ... and I can't think of anywhere I haven't learned about something in the area after I leave it thinking I've covered all I wanted to.

OK - off to do that billing. And maybe we'll see a few others chime in.

Good afternoon gals!

Got the rest of my storage things in the truck this morning (glad I waited to do it, since it was so much cooler this morning!). A friend of mine came over to go with me to transfer it all to the pod. That worked out good and now I just have some little things to put in the camper and get hitched up and ready to head out in the morning.

I spent the night in the camper with Lola. She was a little stressed at first, but did like sitting on the bed looking out the window at the fireflies last night. I think she will like it better in there once she gets used to it. It will be more comfy than the dark, brown, dungeon we have been living in!

Just ate lunch so will get back to work here shortly so I can relax a little tonight! Looks like I will be driving in some rain tomorrow tho.

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Which reminds me, Beth, I posted some pictures of my bike ride yesterday. I am at Heaton Bay on Dillon Lake at over 9,000 feet in Colorado where it is nice and cool. This is a tough place to get an electric campsite because of the weekenders from Denver, but it is really cool here even in the heat of summer. I have my windows open and no AC today. It also is a federal facility, so only $16 per night with electric and water for seniors. Other sites are cheaper with no electric and easier to get, but paved bike trail that goes all around lake really makes it worthwhile. There are lots of non-electric walk-in sites today, for example, and only $22.45 or $11.23 for seniors. There is some freeway noise, but not too bad.

Check out photos of this gorgeous place: http://grandmajjb.blogspot.com/ (It was a little cloudy yesterday, but much sunnier today.)

Thanks, Judy. Definitely a place I'd enjoy.
