Good morning
have no idea what the temperature is but it sure feels good.
watching all the critters here on the range while enjoying my coffee.
There are turkeys wandered over from next farm over, and guines from
a farm on the other side. Cats and kitties from who knows where and of
course the horses and the tamaskans. (a dog similar to a wolf, but not)
There's new puppies but I won't go in their yard, as none of the dogs know
me of course. I do enjoy hearing them howl.
Today will be a day of chores, service my generator and get the little shop
vac out and clean house. Might even do a little laundry.
Off to get dressed, y'all have a great day, be safe.

Good Morning. Stiil in jammies here. Got home yesterday, early afternoon. Nice and cool. Ahh, felt so good. Unloaded and parked trailer, put stuff away and then hopped on mower to cut my hay field lawn. Been raining so much, my neighbor didn't get my grass cut. As was, it started raining not long after I finished. Slept in till 9:30 this morning, so today is rest day. Will go out though and take what stuff is in truck bed out and return my flowers to their window boxes and hanging baskets to their hooks. Rain moving in for later today, tonight and tomorrow.

Beki, hope you find The gals. Sounds like you are enjoying your trip. Alice, sure enjoying your posts of your new life style. We waited long enough for it to happen. You go girl. There's a big wide country out there for you to explore.

Guess I should get moving here. Beth, watching for your news in General, you are keeping us all in suspense.

Morning Ladies! Sure wish some of that rain would fall in SD before it gets to you, Sue. Congratulations on your purchase Beth! Alice is enjoying farm life. I’m still sitting here in my pajamas drinking coffee and watching Blind Side for the umpteenth time. I have to get my butt in gear and start loading the camper. Plus I really need to wash the windows on it. They were bugging me over Memorial Day. We are leaving Tuesday for the annual 4th of July marathon camping trip at a local park. It’s close enough to home that I can come back and forth to get things if needed. Not even sure if DH will be spending much time with me until the weekend. I retired when I retired….he didn’t! So my sister is going to come and spend part of the time with me.

Haven’t been doing much lately. Kind of nice! I find that I can be a real hermit at times.

Have a good week everyone.

I left the heat of Grand Canyon and Zion and headed into the mountains of COlorado where it is MUCH cooler--like highs of 73 instead of 106! Finally I can sleep and eat. I lost 5 pounds over two weeks because I was just not hungry. Drank as much as I could, but it is hard to drink enough in that weather. Had a good time with grandkids, but my daughter-in-law got sick from the heat also. Kids were OK. Last couple of days they had a nice hotel with pool to cool off in.

Ended up in only available campground--Prospector, near Dillon, CO. It is dry camping, whcih is fine, but I really am unhappy with the dirt roads and the trucks that go too fast and kick up dust. Luckily most of it goes away from me because of slight breeze. Today, the place is almost empty so less dust, I hope. I have all my windows open and trying to enjoy the mountain air, but air with dust is not "mountain air" if you know what I mean. This place is in ski country, so surrounded by snow-capped mountains, which is very pretty.

Tomorrow, I drive five miles to a place with electric and paved roads, so dust problem will be solved. I am only about 20 miles from Breckinridge, so I might drive in there to look around. Also, will go to nearby Dillon and pick up some Einstein bagels and a few groceries.
