Looking for recommendation San Diego or LA area

Postby bghouse » Sat Jun 24, 2017 10:17 am

I'm planning to purchase my RV in the August / September timeframe from El Monte RV at Santa Fe Springs. For the first 30 days I need to be close to city stuff so I can take care of stocking my RV, buying what I need, selling my car, etc. I'm looking either around the area in LA, or in San Diego. I also need it to be a place where I can have any additional things serviced, like for instance putting in a new fantastic fan - not mechanical stuff, but having a mobile service person come out.

I have a couple of places I'm calling today in San Diego that would work, but figured I'd ask if anyone had any recommendations?

We're in Cypress, which is just a few minutes from Santa Fe Springs. However, there's an absolutely super independent repair shop in Irwindale -- Benlo RV -- that could get your fan installed in a day. As far as a place to stay, there's just not much around that isn't going to cost an arm & a leg AND be hot this time of year. If you want to talk more, PM me & I'll give you my phone number.

Sweetwater regional park in SD us on top of a hill and has terrific full hookup sites for $33 per night which is cheap for California. No weekly or monthly discounts however.

Thanks! Yeah, I know it's gonna be expensive in SoCal in September, but it is what it is :-)
