Monday early

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday early

Gmorning all :)

Yahoo Sue! Glad you are settled in G'burg & had some time with OSharon & Kelly (& mom) :) Yep, hot & humid here in the NE, but finally it's summer-like! Been such a cold spring...

Alice, hope all goes well for your sis! I visited El Morro for a day. Got there before they opened, so parked in the campground to wait--nice place. Donna, hope you can tolerate the med since it seems to have helped your foot. Looking forward to seeing you & Phee this summer:)

Worked in the garden a bit in the mornings over the weekend, but afternoons were too hot. This a.m., I'm going to give HarBor a good bath! Shouldn't be too hot playing around in water:) He needs a good inside cleaning too, but not today. Fence materials are being delivered tmrw! Next step is getting bro's tractor here so he can drill the post holes. Never know when he will have time, but at least we're this far along. Yes, Martha, hopefully I'll be "sunbathing" in privacy soon ;)

Looks like a lot of heat all over the country, so stay cool wherever you are, & y'all have a great day 8-)

Good Morning Carolb and all. Sounds like progress being made at your place Carol as far as projects are concerned. Yep, had a really nice time with the ladies.

Off on a battlefield bus tour this morning. Like you say, by mid afternoon, too hot to do anything. Everybody in campground saying same thing. Went to Visitor Center yesterday and then down to Emmitsburg, to National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Not sure what's on afternoon agenda here today. After tour, will come back here for lunch and then maybe drive some areas of battlefield to take some pics on my own. Want to hit some souvenier shps etc., in town for some scrapbook stuff and also Wally World for a few things, before I leave on Wednesday.

Good morning Carol and all who follow, I've started my northern migration to the Canadian Maritimes with two buddies from Kino Bay. We're camped for four nights on Cape Cod Bay and will be doing all the touristy things such as Plimouth Platation and the Mayflower, Martha Vineyard and Provincetown. It's been over a year and a half since I've lived in my rig and I have forgotten the routine. It's taking twice as long to do a simple task. Enjoy today. Peggy

Good morning ladies
not much goin on, just killin time now until launch day.
Will finish up the housework today and be done with
it. Just might leave town early if this keeps up.
We do have a few fires in the area and some might
even put out some smoke in the campground, been
monitoring that on the AZ active fires map, just in case
we need to cancel. So far all is good and no fears.
Nothing else is new, y'all have a great day, be safe.

Good Morning, Carolb, nice to see you posting again, I was worried. Anyone heard from Sarah (blue pine cones).?

I have toured many Civil War Sites. Found them to be very sad. Especially Shiloh. Bought a book, Women in War at Gettysburg. Really brought home to me that the war was in their front yards!
At an Elderhostel near Vicksburg, found out many men died from Heat Stroke because their uniforms were wool in the heat of July!

We have had severe June Gloom for the past several days. Even, real rain a couple of mornings. Today tho, the day has dawned beautifully!

The homeless situation in San Diego has gotten completely out of hand. I blame the mayor and city council for ignoring the problem. They talk about, and have paid for studies about the problem, but nothing gets done. Yet if I camp in my expensive tt on a city owned lot I get a ticket!!!

I am so ready to go camping!

So many of us camping or getting ready to camp. I am busy getting things organized for my 2 week camping trip. It is taking a bit more with having the new pup to think about but think it will work out fine. Will be meeting up with Laura for 4 days of camping together I havent seen her for forever. So will be good to catch up.

I need to give the Motorhome a good cleaning after I get set up, wont take a whole lot of time as I cleaned it pretty good when I got home from Arizona but now it has been sitting for a few months so other than starting it and the generator it has not moved. I am ready to get on the road. Then will look at where to go camping in July for a week or so. It will be kind of weather dependent on if I go east or west LOL Mountains to the east, ocean to the west.

Lyn, don't get me started on the government and their studies. They spend a half a million dollars to study something and nothing gets done. There is a guy in Abbeville that if his name comes up in some study you can bet there are politicians getting their pockets lined.

The tree service is suppose to come in the morning. I was getting nervous last night. It was raining and the wind was blowing pretty good. I just hope we don't have more rain today. There is a chance of rain everyday for 10 days. Would sure like to send some to AZ. It looks like Florida finally got some rain.

I would sure like to go camping but will be a long time before I can camp again. The car lot in Lafayette that has the Coach House sends me an email every time they lower the price. It's not the floor plan I want but wouldn't mind having it if the price was right. No sense in having an expensive lawn ornament.

We're still hanging out in Elkhart after the NeXus Rally. Marley (MH) got a nice bath today & I did laundry. ;) Tomorrow we leave for Cleveland. Lunch at a Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives restaurant followed by the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame on Wednesday. Thursday we shuffle off to Buffalo to see some cousins along with Niagara Falls & the wet boat ride. Hot, hot, hot weather but rain coming before the week is out.
Stay safe everyone & happy trails,
Eileen

Sunny this morning so got up fairly early and ran some errands. Storms are starting to roll in here now with a cool front. Nothing severe around here tho.

Tonight I am going to a Twins game with a coworker, (tickets I won at the work picnic last month). Luckily we will be in a skybox so out of the rain. Then tomorrow morning, I have my visit with my daughter! Got her some golf things since she is into that now. Can't wait! :D

Yesterday I sold my cartop carrier but still having no luck with the Jeep even with a lower price. :( I took a long nap in the afternoon and was lazy the rest of the day after that. The dark, cloudy, rainy weather saps my energy and motivation.

Have a good day and stay safe on the roads! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

CArol, looking forward to seeing you! I hope you do get up here.

Tornado watch here till 2 am. I'm pretty fatalistic about the watches and warnings, to many people's consternation. A childhood friend died in one during high school... When the school did everything right... So while I don't chase them, I don't usually go to "safety". My Mom and I did watch a tornado out our kitchen window during the middle of the night once. That was close and going to safety would have taken us closer. Don't get me wrong, I understand those of you who find the safe places. As I said, I'm pretty fatalistic about them, though.
